  • Publication number: 20100301701
Abstract: A voltage converter is provided for receiving a low input DC voltage and driving a piezoelectric actuator of a fluid transportation device. The voltage converter includes plural capacitors, a resistor and a boost chip. The boost chip is connected with the plural capacitors and the resistor, has a switch element and a polar switching circuit, and receives the low input DC voltage. The low input DC voltage is increased and multiplied to a high DC voltage by a switching operation of the switch element. The high DC voltage is converted into an output AC voltage by the polar switching circuit so as to drive the piezoelectric actuator. An operating frequency of the boost chip is controlled by the plural capacitors and the resistor.

  • Publication number: 20090159830
Abstract: A fluid transportation device includes a valve seat, a valve cap, a valve membrane, multiple buffer chambers, and an actuating module. The valve seat has an inlet channel and an outlet channel. The valve cap is disposed on the valve seat. The valve membrane is arranged between the valve seat and the valve cap. The multiple buffer chambers include a first buffer chamber between the valve membrane and the valve cap and a second buffer chamber between the valve membrane and the valve seat. Each of the first buffer chamber and the second buffer chamber has a flow-guiding structure extended from an outer edge to a center thereof. The actuating module has a periphery fixed on the valve cap. A pressure cavity is defined between the actuating module and the valve cap. Another flow-guiding structure is formed at an inner edge of the pressure cavity.

  • Publication number: 20090060750
Abstract: A fluid transportation device includes a valve seat, a valve cap, a valve membrane, multiple buffer chambers, a vibration film and an actuator. The valve membrane is arranged between the valve seat and the valve cap, and includes several hollow-types valve switches, which includes at least a first valve switch and a second valve switch. The multiple buffer chambers include a first buffer chamber between the valve membrane and the valve cap and a second buffer chamber between the valve membrane and the valve seat. The vibration film is separated from the valve cap when the fluid transportation device is in a non-actuation status, thereby defining a pressure cavity. The actuator is connected to the vibration film. When the actuator is driven to be subject to deformation, the vibration film connected to the actuator is transmitted to render a volume change of the pressure cavity and result in a pressure difference for moving the fluid.

  • Patent number: 6692120
Abstract: A pressure regulation apparatus for an ink reservoir is provided. The apparatus includes: an elastic bag mounted in the ink reservoir for freely passing an ambient air of an ambient environment outside the ink reservoir in and out the elastic bag, wherein the ink reservoir has an interior for holding an ink, and a porous filter mounted in the ink reservoir for entering the ambient air outside the ink reservoir into the interior of the ink reservoir therethrough, thereby the elastic bag and the porous filter complementarily regulating a pressure difference between the interior of the ink reservoir and the ambient environment outside the ink reservoir. By this apparatus, the pressure change within the ink reservoir is able to respond immediately for a big pressure change by the elastic bag and to regulate sensitively for a slight pressure change by the porous filter.

  • Patent number: 6692119
Abstract: A mechanism for regulating pressure within the interior of ink cartridge is peculiarized by that a filter which is telescoped by a sleeve is taken as a pressure-regulating member. The sleeve is telescoped with one end of a conduit and is communicable with the external atmosphere of the ink cartridge. By using the filter comprising uniformly arranged fiber bundles, a capillary action is created on the filter so that the back pressure can be maintained and the air can be introduced into the ink cartridge through the conduit. The negative pressure of the ink cartridge can be maintained at a best equilibrium state and the ink cartridge can be kept at an optimum condition.

  • Patent number: 5271784
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a composite bicycle frame adapts stepped forming. The seat stays combined with the seat support means which are connected to parts of the top tube and seat tube, and the chain stays combined with the pedal support means which are connected to parts of the down tube and seat tube, are formed respectively. The seat stays connect to the chain stays by inserting a pair of rear wheel dropouts therebetween, to form substantially a pair of rear triangles of the bicycle frame. The seat tube and the steering support means connected to the top tube and down tube are laid up respectively. The cured rear triangles connect to uncured seat tube and steering support means associated with top tube and down tube, wherein the top tube, down tube, and seat tube form a front triangle. The front triangle is cured such that manufacturing of the whole bicycle frame is completed.
