  • Publication number: 20200219796
Abstract: A multi-layered battery separator for a lithium secondary battery includes a first layer of a dry processed membrane bonded to a second layer of a wet processed membrane. The first layer may be made of a polypropylene based resin. The second layer may be made of a polyethylene based resin. The separator may have more than two layers. The separator may have a ratio of TD/MD tensile strength in the range of about 1.5-3.0. The separator may have a thickness of about 35.0 microns or less. The separator may have a puncture strength of greater than about 630 gf. The separator may have a dielectric breakdown of at least about 2000V.

  • Publication number: 20200141146
Abstract: The present invention relates to apparatuses for improving pool skimmers. In some embodiments, the apparatus is a pool skimmer basket system that includes a skimmer basket, a first tube that is attached to the skimmer basket, and a second tube that is adjacent to and rotatable relative to the first tube. The first tube includes a longitudinal slot that feeds water into the skimmer basket. Without being bound by any particular theory, it is believed that the slot increases the velocity of water flowing into the basket and that the system increases the debris-holding capacity and allows one to avoid having to reach through dirty water to remove the skimmer basket.

  • Publication number: 20180328058
Abstract: The present invention relates to systems for improving the range of pool skimmers. In some embodiments, the present invention provides a weir that is located in the basin of a swimming pool, moves in response to changing water levels in the pool and feeds water from the basin to a skimmer located in a sidewall of the swimming pool. In other embodiments, the present invention provides a deflector that is adjacent to a pool sidewall and extends above the skimmer opening, and includes an opening for feeding water to the skimmer opening. The present disclosure also provides for systems having combinations of such features. Without being bound to any particular theory, it is believed that the apparatuses are relatively cheap to manufacture, safe, conserve water and chemical use, and allow for an aesthetically pleasing full pool.

  • Patent number: 9642304
Abstract: Several systems that create a floating cutting deck for a riding lawn mower are described. The first system is a bar assembly, with a moveable stop, that attaches to and covers the teeth of a lift handle assembly of a conventional riding lawn mower. The second system is a new design for a riding lawn mower that uses a moveable stop (instead of a plurality of teeth) in the lift handle assembly. In both systems, the lift handle is able to move away from the stop (and thereby allow the cutting deck to rise relative to the main frame) when the terrain under the cutting deck is higher than the terrain under the lawn mower's main wheels.
