  • Patent number: 7059087
Abstract: A flashing and method for installing a window or other portal in a wall opening is provided. The flashing includes a base member with first and second portions that are angled so that an outer surface of the first portion can be disposed against a sill of the opening and an outer surface of the second portion can be disposed against one of the jambs of the opening. A front face plate of the flashing extends perpendicularly from the first and second portions of the base member, and a plurality of channels in the base member are structured to direct water toward and through the front face plate.

  • Publication number: 20050236135
Abstract: A process for the production of magnesium alloy strip, by twin roll casting, includes the steps of passing molten alloy from a source of supply to a feeding device; feeding the alloy from the feeding device through an elongate outlet of a nozzle and a pair of substantially parallel rolls spaced to define a bite therebetween; rotating said rolls whereby alloy is drawn from the chamber through the bite; and flowing coolant fluid through each roll and thereby cool alloy received in the chamber by heat energy extraction by the rolls whereby substantially complete solidification of the alloy is achieved in the chamber prior to alloy passing through the bite as hot rolled alloy strip.

  • Patent number: 6946927
Abstract: A low loss suspended substrate coupler includes a substrate having a first transmission line disposed on a topside of the substrate and a second transmission line disposed on the bottom side of the substrate, thereby providing broadside transmission line coupling. To provide closer mode velocity matching, the coupler has capacitive loading or coupling to ground at discrete intervals between the two transmission lines. The capacitive loading is formed by integrating stubs in each transmission line at pre-determined intervals, each of which is opposite a corresponding one of a plurality of ground stubs on the other side of the substrate. The ground stubs are connected to ground at the outer edge of the coupler area with substrate vias or directly to the coupler housing.

  • Publication number: 20050127596
Abstract: Method and apparatus for assembling sheets of printing media for booklets. In one aspect the sheets are folded, sheet-by-sheet, and in another aspect the sheets are collected, sheet-by-sheet, and registered on a fold in each sheet. In still another aspect printed sheets are loaded, sheet-by-sheet, into the apparatus. Each sheet is trimmed to a pre-determined width depending on the position of the sheet in the booklet being assembled. The sheets are thereafter folded, sheet-by-sheet, and collected into a stack. The method and apparatus have particular application in finishing duplex printed sheets of paper into saddle-stitched booklets.

  • Patent number: 6669938
Abstract: Immunoconjugates of an antibody to a 22 KD breast tumor associated antigen were prepared. Cytotoxic immunoconjugates such as gelonin-15A8 antibody conjugate are useful for treating proliferative cell diseases such as breast carcinoma and cervical carcinoma as well as other tumors which bear the 15A8 antigen. Detectably labeled compositions for diagnosis of such diseases are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6224084
Abstract: A trailer coupler is described in which a pair of elongated hitch capturing members, each having a hitch socket part at a forward end are mounted to a base member for selective movement forward and rearwardly between a forwardly extended and open hitch receiving position wherein the hitch socket parts are separated and a rearwardly retracted and closed hitch capturing position wherein the hitch socket parts are closed together. A hitch positioner member is movably mounted to the base member and including a hitch abutment surface positioned between the hitch capturing members in the forwardly extended and open hitch receiving position. The hitch positioner member is connected to at least one of the hitch capturing members to move the hitch capturing member rearwardly in response to engagement by a rearwardly moving hitch.

  • Patent number: 6186532
Abstract: A trailer coupler in which a pair of hitch capturing members, each having a hitch socket are movable relative to one another and to a base member. The base member mounts the hitch capturing members for selective movement between a forwardly extended and open hitch receiving position and a rearwardly retracted and closed hitch capturing position. A hitch positioner member is mounted or is mountable to the hitch capturing members to span the hitch capturing members in the forwardly extended and open hitch receiving position. The hitch positioner member is movably positioned with respect to at least one of the hitch capturing members and is configured to move the hitch capturing members rearwardly in response to engagement by a rearwardly moving hitch. A cam surface and cam actuator serve to close the hitch capturing members from the open hitch receiving position to the retracted hitch engaging position in response to rearward motion of the hitch capturing members.
