Publication number: 20160059157Abstract: A fluid filtering apparatus such as for filtering particulates and other materials from treated water includes a tank and a filtering region configured as a plurality of individual effluent regions, defined in part by channel frames, disposed between a plurality of influent regions interposed between the effluent regions. A double sided backwash shoe is scannable in the influent regions, to simultaneously clean opposed filter media exposed thereto. The backwash shoe is free to move inwardly and outwardly of the opposed filter media. Additionally, the backwash shoe includes an end opening, positioned adjacent to the base of the tank, to remove sludge and particulates which have settled to the area near the base of the tank while backwashing a filter media.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 3, 2014Publication date: March 3, 2016Inventors: CHARLES G. DANNEMANN, Ross Lee Drescher, Matthew Cody Adams

Publication number: 20160059158Abstract: A fluid filtering apparatus such as for filtering particulates and other materials from treated water includes a tank and a filtering region configured as a plurality of individual effluent regions, defined in part by channel frames, disposed between a plurality of influent regions interposed between the effluent regions. Filter plates having an opening therethrough covered by a filter media are removable receivable in the channel frames, such that filter media in filter plates in adjacent channel frames is in a facing, opposed, relationship. A double sided backwash shoe is scannable in the influent regions, to simultaneously clean opposed filter media exposed thereto. The backwash shoe is free to move inwardly and outwardly of the opposed filter media. Additionally, the tank may include a second filtering region, which is selectively isolatable from the first filtering region.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 3, 2014Publication date: March 3, 2016Inventors: Charles G. DANNEMANN, Ross Lee DRESCHER, Matthew Cody ADAMS

Publication number: 20140352898Abstract: A flexible yet durable roll-down curtain is normally stored in a rolled condition, and is unrolled during use. The curtain includes plural, vertically spaced apart rods extending through a width of the curtain. When rolled, the curtain wraps around an elongate, spring-loaded mandrel assembly. The mandrel assembly couples with a pair of mounting brackets mounted at opposing sidewalls of a temperature-controlled compartment. A pair of locking brackets disposed directly opposite one another at opposing sidewalls engage opposing ends of a rod extending through the curtain, to retain the curtain in a deployed position. A flexible side seal provides a sealing engagement vertically along each side edge of the curtain. When deployed, the curtain extends from ceiling to floor, and from sidewall to sidewall, forming a barrier against uncontrolled air movement from a space on either side of the curtain to a space on an opposing side of the curtain.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 22, 2014Publication date: December 4, 2014Applicant: Kool Pak LLCInventors: Dennis Veatch, Allen Ross Lee

Publication number: 20080220192Abstract: Multilayer shaped articles, including films, preforms and containers, and method for forming the same, having at least one layer of poly(l, 3-propylene 2,6-naphthalate) and at least one layer of poly(ethylene terephthalate). Poly(1,3-propylene 2,6-naphthalate) can be co-stretched with poly(ethylene terephthalate) to form oriented multilayer structures which have superior barrier properties. The poly(l,3-propylene 2,6-naphthalate) and poly(ethylene terephthalate) layers have good adhesion and do not require an adhesive tie layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 3, 2007Publication date: September 11, 2008Inventors: Ross A. Lee, Howard C. Ng, Pallatheri Manackal Subramanian
