Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and methodology to assist users with data access activities and that includes such activities as routine web browsing and/or data access applications. A coalesced display or montage of aggregated information is provided that is focused from a plurality of sources to achieve substantially one-button access to user's desired web or data source information/destinations in order to mitigate efforts in retrieving and viewing such information. Past web or other type data access patterns can be mined to predict future browsing sites or desired access locations. A system is provided that builds personalized web portals for associated users based on models mined from past data access patterns. The portals can provide links to web resources as well as embed content from distal (remote) pages or sites producing a montage of web or other type data content. Automated topic classification is employed to create multiple topic-centric views that can be invoked by a user.

Abstract: A process for producing a thermoformable fibre-plastics composite product comprising lignolcellulosic or natural fibres, particularly but not exclusively useful as an intermediate product in subsequent manufacture, comprises conveying the fibres in a dry or wet air stream and applying to the fibres a thermoplastic binding agent, and forming the fibres into a solid or semi-solid product such as a panel, which is thermoformable. In at least a preferred embodiment the process may be carried out in known plant for manufacture of medium density fibre board.

Abstract: A process for producing pellets or granules comprising fibres of a lignocellulousic material, for use as a feedstock in plastics manufacture, conveying in a dry or wet air stream and applying to the fibres a liquid formulation comprising one or more polymers, monomers, or oligomers, forming the fibres into a solid product, and breaking down the solid product to produce said pellets or granules. Typically the conduit conveys the fibres in a plant for manufacture of fibre board.

Abstract: The invention provides semi-clathrate hydrate compositions formed from water, a semi-clathrate hydrate forming compound and a gas. The semi-clathrate hydrate forming compounds can be ammonium salts, sulphonium salts, phosphonium salts or amines. The semi-clathrate hydrate compositions can be used to store gases including hydrogen, methane and carbon dioxide. Methods of manufacture of the compositions and their uses in energy storage and generation, and for the separation of gases are also described.

Abstract: A hardener composition and pine bark tannin-containing resin composition are disclosed. The resin composition is formulated to neutral pH in order to reduce the extent of self-polymerisation and provide a satisfactory shelf life. The hardener composition may be mixed with a suitable resin, or the resin composition mixed with a suitable hardener to produce a cold set adhesive which is particularly useful for bonding wood.

Abstract: An apparatus for maintaining a dry field during dental procedures includes a U-shaped tongue shield for holding the patient's tongue in a retracted position. Cheek distention arms extend laterally outward and forward from the tongue shield to distend the cheek away from the teeth. Lip retractors extend from the cheek distention arms in an arcuate shape above and below the cheek distention arms. Webbing extends between the lip retractors and cheek distention arms to support the soft tissue within the patient's mouth distal to the orbicularis oris muscle.

Abstract: A business card dispenser includes a container having an interior cavity of a size that is just sufficient to accommodate a stack of business cards. A closure is provided on the container, whereby access is provided for the purpose of inserting the stack of business cards. A dispensing slot is provided through the container. A slider is manually movable toward and away from the dispensing slot. The slider has a depending gripping foot that engages an uppermost one of the business cards in the stack and moves said uppermost business card toward the dispensing slot. An inclined plane extends at a gradual upward slope from the bottom of the interior cavity to the dispensing slot to guide the uppermost card up the inclined plane to the dispensing slot, without regard to the number of cards remaining in the stack.

Abstract: A method of fabricating gate electrodes on microwave field effect transistors is described. A first layer of photo-resist is deposited and photolithographically defined on top of a semiconductor material with openings in the photoresist, corresponding to the gate electrode. In one embodiment, when drain and source electrodes have been previously formed, additional openings in the first layer of photoresist are defined that approximately overlay the drain and source electrodes. A metal layer is then deposited on top of this structure. A second layer of photoresist is then deposited and photolithographically defined on top of the first metal layer, with larger openings which overlay the openings in the first layer of photoresist. The thickness of the gate electrode, and in one embodiment, the sections overlaying the drain and source electrodes, is then increased by plating gold into the openings in the second layer of photoresist.
