  • Patent number: 4557694
Abstract: A small console containing a keypad such as an elastomeric array keypad and a microprocessor which is preprogrammed with a number of simple algorithms. The individual keys (switches) are preferably, although not necessarily, hidden to the user and are arranged in sets providing, for example, 8 data lines each having a plurality of keys associated therewith some lines of which, for a particular algorithm, are redundant, and other dedicated keys. The user directly programs the device at the keypad by inputting the solution to the particular question. The data inputting is provided secretively by using an overlay placed over the keypad on the console. The overlay provides some pictorial and text description of the game.

  • Patent number: 4539786
Abstract: A structure capable of being expanded and retracted. The structure includes a pair of cells each including a plurality of leg elements which are pivotally joined at one end to form an apex point and which are pivotally joined at their opposite ends from the apex point connection to the corresponding leg element from the other cell to form a plurality of common base points. The structure also includes a plurality of hinged elements connected between adjacent common base points to thereby form a common base and the hinged elements each have a pair of sections that are connected at a hinge point approximately midway between the adjacent common base points to which the other end of each section is connected.

  • Patent number: 4095393
Abstract: A bag forming and filling apparatus in which a continuous tube of heat sealable plastic is fed from a roll along a pathway where it is cut to the desired length and sealed on one end. The opposite end of the sealed tubing engages over an expandable hollow mandrel which expands the open end of the tube to permit material to be inserted therein. The filled section of tubing is then fed in reverse along the same path to a point of storage or use.

  • Patent number: 3942449
Abstract: A self steering vehicle for a transportation system including a roadway having a pair of elongated parallel tracks whose shape in cross-section is domed or convex and preferably having a pair of guide flanges positioned outwardly of the tracks, the vehicle having wheels provided with resilient track-engaging means, such as pneumatic tires, and driving means for propelling the vehicle over the roadway. The wheels of the vehicle tend to follow the tracks because of the deformation of the tires if they tend to move laterally off the center portions of the tracks, and the guide flanges engage the tires, upon the wheels having moved off the tracks because of the imposition of excessive side loads on the vehicle, to turn the wheels back onto the tracks.
