  • Publication number: 20210089522
Abstract: A processor may receive a request including a vehicle identifier, a first symptom identifier, and a second symptom identifier. In response to receiving the request, the processor may determine a circuit element identifier to include in a reply to the request. To do so, the processor may make a determination that the received vehicle identifier matches or is mapped to a stored vehicle identifier, that the received first symptom identifier matches or is mapped to a stored first symptom identifier, and that the received second symptom identifier matches or is mapped to a stored second symptom identifier. In response to making the determination, the processor may determine that a particular circuit element identifier is the circuit element identifier to include based on the particular circuit element identifier being mapped to these stored identifiers. Then, the processor may generate and subsequently output the reply including the determined circuit element identifier.

  • Publication number: 20210004585
Abstract: A method includes transmitting a request for a computer-readable routing diagram, such as a wiring diagram, a pneumatic or hydraulic line diagram, or an optical cable diagram. The method also includes receiving, in response to the request, a routing diagram including a connectable component and at least a portion of a routing set. The connectable component is associated with both a connectable component identifier and the routing set. The routing set contains one or more routable components, such as electrical circuits, pneumatic or hydraulic lines, or optical cables. Further, the method includes displaying, on a display, the routing diagram and at least the portion of the routing set highlighted. Displaying at least the portion of the routing set highlighted occurs in response to an occurrence of the connectable component being selected from the routing diagram displayed on the display or in response to the request including the connectable component identifier.

  • Publication number: 20200371650
Abstract: A client computing system (CCS) receives a download including (i) an image representative of a vehicle component, (ii) symbol data associated with a first symbol, (iii) a set of one or more selectable identifiers, and (iv) supplemental information associated with the vehicle component. Each selectable identifier can indicate a respective portion of the supplemental information. After receiving the download, the CCS displays the image and the first symbol without displaying the set and the supplemental information. While the image and the first symbol are displayed without the set, the CCS receives a first input corresponding to selection of the first symbol. The CCS then responsively displays the set. While the set is displayed, the CCS receives a second input corresponding to selection of a first selectable identifier from the set. The CCS then responsively displays the respective portion of the supplemental information indicated by the first selectable identifier.

  • Publication number: 20200342389
Abstract: An example method includes receiving a plurality of vehicle service jobs to be performed in a given time window. The method further includes receiving technician performance data for a plurality of technicians, wherein the technician performance data for a given technician is indicative of past performances by the given technician of one or more of the vehicle service jobs. The method additionally includes determining, based on the technician performance data, a plurality of scoring metrics corresponding to the plurality of vehicle service jobs for each of the plurality of technicians. The method also includes determining, based on the scoring metrics, suggested technician assignments of individual technicians of the plurality of technicians to each vehicle service job of the plurality of vehicle service jobs. The method further includes providing, for presentation on a display, a technician assignment interface that shows the suggested technician assignments.

  • Publication number: 20200242116
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for repairing vehicles. A computing device having first and second software executables can determine vehicle identification information (VII) that identifies a vehicle. The computing device can store first and second vehicle identifiers that are based on the VII and are respectively associated with the first and second software executables, where the first vehicle identifier differs from the second vehicle identifier. The computing device can be used to repair the vehicle by at least: receiving a request to activate the first software executable, and activating the first software executable at least by providing the stored first vehicle identifier to the first software executable.
