  • Publication number: 20140050667
Abstract: A method for measuring a glomerular filtration rate in a mammalian kidney comprises a source of reporter and marker fluorescent molecules. The fluorescent molecules are introduced into the blood stream of a mammalian subject. Over a period of time, a measurement of the intensities of the reporter and marker fluorescent molecules is taken. A ratio is calculated to determine the health of the subject's kidney. This method measures volume of plasma distribution based on a fluorescence of a marker molecule relative to a fluorescence of a reporter molecule.

  • Patent number: 8591865
Abstract: A method for measuring a glomerular filtration rate of a mammalian subject comprises a source of reporter and marker fluorescent molecules. The fluorescent molecules are introduced into the vascular system of the mammalian subject. Over a period of time, a measurement of the intensities of the reporter and marker fluorescent molecules is taken. A ratio is calculated to determine the glomerular filtration rate.

  • Publication number: 20110211342
Abstract: Improvements in a lighting fixture where the lighting fixture uses inductive lighting technology or self ballasting lighting elements with one or a plethora of efficient light elements. The lighting fixture is used where high bay or low bay lighting may be used. The improvement includes a new installation or a retrofit installation. The kit allows a building or residence to use common wiring to secure to a socket. The socket allows for quick installation, upgrading, or replacement with inductive lighting elements. The adapter and the lighting fixture use common pieces that are interchangeable to reduce the number of unique components. The inductive lighting fixture further includes support components that provide structural rigidity to the assembly of components within the socket. The base may further include mounting for a reflective dome to focus or diffuse the light.

  • Patent number: 7524083
Abstract: A lighting fixture where the lighting fixture uses inductive lighting technology or self ballasting lighting elements with one or a plethora of efficient light elements. The lighting fixture is used where high bay or low bay lighting may be used, but incorporates multiple light sources to provide an equivalent light intensity. The multiple light sources can be inductive or multiple fluorescent, LED or other efficient light sources to provide a less expensive cost of operation and installation. The higher efficiency lights could be standard socket type fluorescent or inductive light bulbs that are easily available. The higher efficiency lights will also create less heat that will further reduce the air conditioning or cooling costs for the building. An integrated ballast box with reflector dome retainer is also shown for use with inductive or other lighting that further includes a retaining mechanism for the dome.

The lighting fixture is used where high bay or low bay lighting may be used, but incorporates multiple light sources to provide an equivalent light intensity. The invention may include a hanging system that allows the entire assembly to be wired into a new or existing building and supply self ballasting lights, or ballast box and the dome or reflector. This fixture uses one or more high efficiency inductive lighting in similar 2 ft by 2 foot or 2 foot by 4 foot housing. A ballast box is secured to the reflector or dome retainer making the fixture a direct replacement for similar size and shape inductive fixtures.

  • Publication number: 20050259419
Abstract: A replacement lighting fixture where the lighting fixture replaces a single high output light source with multiple efficient light sources. The combination of multiple light sources would provide an equivalent light intensity. The multiple light sources would replace a single incandescent light bulb with multiple florescent, LED, or other efficient light sources to provide a less expensive cost of replacement and operation. The higher efficiency lights could be standard bulbs that are easily available. The higher efficiency lights would also create less heat that would further reduce the air conditioning or cooling costs for the building.
