In embodiments, the sublines may be recombined at a second end of the sublines and driven by a second decoder-driver at the second end.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for creating and using a neural network model to estimate a cardiac parameter of a patient, and using the estimated parameter in providing blood pump support to improve patient cardiac performance and heart health. Particular adaptations include adjusting blood pump parameters and determining whether and how to increase or decrease support, or wean the patient from the blood pump altogether. The model is created based on neural network processing of data from a first patient set and includes measured hemodynamic and pump parameters compared to a cardiac parameter measured in situ, for example the left ventricular volume measured by millar (in animals) or inca (in human) catheter. After development of a model based on the first set of patients, the model is applied to a patient in a second set to estimate the cardiac parameter without use of an additional catheter or direct measurement.

    Abstract: A process for refining glycolide includes a step of extracting impurities from a crude glycolide with solvent A, and then a step of recrystallizing with solvent B. Solvent A includes at least two solvents and the solvents are miscible each other. In the process, two types of polar solvents are used for the refining of crude glycolide. The process has a good extraction effect on acidic impurities such as glycolic acid oligomers. The solvents are easily fully removed during the solid-liquid separation and the drying process. Glycolide obtained using this process may have a low free acid content.

    Abstract: An electrified vehicle includes a contactor having a coil operable by a low-voltage control signal to selectively electrically couple a terminal of a high-voltage bus to a charger receiving power from an external source. A programmed controller predicts the time it will take for the contactor to close after receiving a command based on the coil temperature and voltage of the command signal. The controller generates the low-voltage control signal responsive to a difference between bus voltage and charger voltage being less than a first threshold at the predicted closing time of the contactor. The control signal may also depend on the rate of change of the charger voltage being below a second threshold.
