Abstract: Power connectors that are easy to connect, have a low profile, and can convey one or more data signals. One example can provide a power connector that is easy to connect by providing an axisymmetric connector receptacle and connector insert. Magnets can be used to help guide a connection between a connector insert and a connector receptacle. Canted springs can be used to provide a tactile response to the insertion of the connector insert into the connector receptacle and to help to secure the connector insert in place when mated with the connector insert. Keying or self-aligning features can be included on either or both the connector insert and the connector receptacle to help guide mating.

Abstract: Embodiments of an optical amplification apparatus are disclosed which include a first optical amplifier, a second optical amplifier, and a mode exchanger. The first optical amplifier is connected to an input port of the mode exchanger, and the second optical amplifier is connected to an output port of the mode exchanger. The first optical amplifier is configured to amplify optical signals carried in a plurality of transmission modes of a few-mode fiber, the plurality of transmission modes of the few-mode fiber may be grouped into N groups, each group includes two transmission modes, and N is a positive integer greater than or equal to 1. The mode exchanger is configured to exchange the two transmission modes carrying optical signals in each group. The second optical amplifier is configured to amplify the optical signals that are carried in the two transmission modes in each group and whose modes are exchanged.

Abstract: A brewing system comprises a grinder, a brewer, a capsule holder, and a controller. The grinder is configured to grind whole coffee beans into coffee grounds with adjustable coarseness. The grinder is configured to receive the whole coffee beans through a first opening above the grinder and dispense the coffee grounds through a second opening below the grinder. The brewer is configured to dispense water for brewing coffee through a third opening below the brewer, wherein the brewer is positioned laterally relative to the grinder. The capsule dock is configured to (a) hold a capsule containing a coffee filter and (b) translate the capsule from a first position under the second opening of the grinder to a second position under the third opening below the brewer. The controller is configured to control the grinder, brewer, and capsule dock.

Abstract: A brewer includes: a nozzle configured to dispense a stream of water downward; a holder configured to hold a container for coffee grinds or tea below the nozzle to receive the stream of water; a first electrode disposed adjacent to the stream of water dispensed by the nozzle; a voltage source electrically coupled to the first electrode through an electrical circuit and configured to apply a voltage to the first electrode; and a controller communicatively coupled to the electrical circuit and configured to control a magnitude of the voltage applied to the first electrode from the voltage source. Varying the magnitude of the voltage applied to the first electrode generates an electrical field that changes a distance of the stream of water from the first electrode.

The side surface of the inner burr and the outer burr define a gap. The grinder comprise a main motor configured to provide a first rotational movement to the inner burr. A second motor is configured to adjust a vertical position of the inner burr relative to the outer burr, wherein changes in the vertical position of the inner burr relative to the outer burr changes the gap between the inner burr and the outer burr. A coarseness of the coffee grounds depends on the gap between the inner burr and the outer burr.

The pressure balancing clamp for a press-pack IGBT module includes a bracket, where the bracket is provided with two longitudinally arranged pressure equalizing plates in a sliding way; the pressure equalizing plates are connected through pressure sensors; the upper and lower ends inside the bracket are respectively connected with the pressure equalizing plates through hydraulic devices and a displacement compensation device; opposite surfaces of the two pressure equalizing plates are respectively provided with heat dissipation and confluence devices. The pressure sensors are in one-to-one correspondence with the hydraulic devices and are electrically connected. The hydraulic devices adjust the pressure according to the readings of the pressure sensors in corresponding directions, so that the pressure of the press-pack IGBT module is balanced.
