The method includes: receiving, by a network repository network element, a request message from a second network element, where the request message includes information about a network slice, and the request message is used to request to obtain status information of a system feature supported by the network slice; and sending, by the network repository network element based on the request message, the status information of the system feature supported by the network slice to the second network element. Based on this solution, the second network element may obtain, from the network repository network element, the status information of the system feature supported by the network slice. The status information of the system feature supported by the network slice includes status information of an NF service corresponding to the system feature.

Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure provide a session management method, an access management function device, and a session management device. The method carried out by an access and mobility management network element includes: obtaining subscription data of a terminal in a first communications network and subscription data of the terminal in a second communications network, where the subscription data of the terminal in the first communications network includes a DNN, and the subscription data of the terminal in the second communications network includes an APN corresponding to the DNN; allocating a bearer identifier to a bearer in a PDN connection corresponding to the APN; receiving a flow identifier that is of a flow in a PDU session corresponding to the DNN and that is sent by a session management network element; and sending the bearer identifier and the flow identifier to the terminal.

Abstract: A method includes obtaining a first service experience data set of a service, where each piece of first service experience data in the first service experience data set indicates service quality of all users or a plurality of users in a network, wherein the service is executed by the users, and the service is run in the network, obtaining information about a first service quality requirement of the service, where the information about the first service quality requirement indicates a requirement on the first service experience data, and determining a second network data set of the network based on the first service experience data set, a first network data set of the network, and the information about the first service quality requirement.

Abstract: The embodiment of the present application relates a user plane resource management method, a user plane network element, and a control plane network. The method carried out by a user plane network element includes: receiving a data transmission channel establishment request message sent by a control plane network element, where the data transmission channel establishment request message is used to instruct the user plane network element to establish a data transmission channel; establishing the data transmission channel based on current user plane resource status information, and assigning a channel identifier marking the data transmission channel; and sending, the channel identifier to the control plane network element.

Abstract: An Internet Protocol (IP) address allocation method and a device to resolve a technical problem that an IP address conflict occurs when a control plane device and a user plane device allocate an IP address for one user equipment (UE) at the same time. When receiving a session establishment request message, a control plane network device may determine whether a first user plane network device is capable of allocating an IP address for a terminal device. If the first user plane network device is capable of allocating the IP address for the terminal device, the control plane network device may send an address allocation indication to the first user plane network device.

Abstract: A charging method, including sending, by a control plane gateway, a first charging trigger event to a user plane gateway, where the first charging trigger event triggering the user plane gateway to generate service usage information, generating, by the user plane gateway, the service usage information when the user plane gateway detects that the first charging trigger event occurs, sending, by the user plane gateway, the service usage information to the control plane gateway, generating, by the control plane gateway, a charging request according to the service usage information, and sending, by the control plane gateway, the charging request to a charging system. Abstract: An IP address allocation method and a device are provided, so as to resolve a technical problem that an IP address conflict occurs when a control plane device and a user plane device allocate an IP address for one UE at the same time. Abstract: This application provides example rule processing methods. One example method includes receiving, by a user plane function node, a first data packet. The user lane function node can then perform rule matching on the first data packet to obtain a first predefined rule. In response to determining that no quality of service (QoS) flow meets the first predefined rule, the user lane function node can then send a first message to a session management function node, where the first message includes information about the first predefined rule. The user lane function node can then receive rule update information sent by the session management function node, where the rule update information includes an identifier of a first QoS flow, and where the first QoS flow meets the first predefined rule.

Abstract: This application provides a radio resource determining method and apparatus. The method includes: selecting, by a terminal from candidate resources, a radio resource used for a proximity-based service; and sending report information to a first service server, where the report information is used to report that the terminal is to perform the proximity-based service by using the radio resource, and the first service server is a service server in a home network of the terminal. According to embodiments of the present invention, the terminal selects the radio resource used for performing the proximity-based service, so as to avoid a time loss caused by allocation of the radio resource to the terminal by a base station, thereby improving efficiency of performing the proximity-based service by the terminal.

The method includes: configuring, by a control plane gateway, a parameter for a user plane gateway, and sending, by the control plane gateway, a configuration message to the user plane gateway, where the configuration message carries the configuration parameter configured by the control plane gateway for the user plane gateway. In this application, the control plane gateway configures the parameter for the user plane gateway, so that the control plane gateway implements configuration of the user plane gateway, and configuration flexibility and configuration efficiency are improved.
