  • Patent number: 9731259
Abstract: A functional fluid useful as an emulsion in a cleaning product or a personal care product is the esterification reaction product of a) a triglyceride or a fatty acid or a methyl ester of a fatty acid, and b) an alcohol which comprises b1) a polyglycerol having at least 3 glycerol units (preferably polyglycerol-4), and b2) glycerol and/or diglycerol. The functional fluid is effective as a stabilizer and as an emulsifier for o/w and w/o emulsions. When a triglyceride is used as a reactant, glycerol and fatty acids are generated in situ by an interesterification reaction. Preferred functional fluids provide the significant benefit that they may be mixed into an oil phase and in a water phase before such phases are mixed together, and that such processing may be carried out at ambient temperature.

  • Publication number: 20160253952
Abstract: A foled (flexible organic light emitting diode) display cap is disclosed. The foled display cap provides a wearable hat comprising an integrated housing for attaching and operating a miniaturized foled video screen. The integrated housing further includes a software module having a memory module and a plurality of buttons for controlling images which are visible on its screen. In use, a wearer of the cap may input through use of the buttons digital representations of video, images, or text and store these digital representations into the memory module for use by the software module through a USB input port within the integrated housing. An electrical power source which may be by way of example a thin film polymer rechargeable battery is also located within the integrated housing for supplying electrical power to the miniaturized foled video screen and software/memory module while also providing a means for recharging the battery.

  • Publication number: 20140316796
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provides systems, methods, and computer-readable media for distributing a specialty drug, such as an omega conopeptide, using a computer hub that facilitates reimbursement assistance, higher expertise in handling, better care of the product, and reduced patient cost. For example, responsive to a prescription, if the patient is currently enrolled in a commercial insurance plan, a patient out-of-pocket requirement can be compared to a capped payment amount. If the patient out-of-pocket requirement exceeds the capped payment amount, a total invoice amount of the specialty drug can be divided by a total invoice amount of the prescription to obtain a percentage of the total invoice attributable to the specialty drug, that percentage multiplied by the patient out-of-pocket requirement to obtain an initial patient obligation for only the specialty drug, and the initial patient obligation for only the specialty drug reduced to the capped payment amount.
