Abstract: The instant invention relates to a key storing pocket for an athletic shoe, and a method using thereof. The key storing pocket for an athletic shoe includes a sleeve, which has a first and second opening. The sleeve is adapted to embrace the grip portion of a key, and it is affixed to the heel portion of said shoe. The sleeve, further, includes the means for closing the first opening, which is adapted to receive said key. Furthermore, the second opening is adapted to receive the elongated active portion of said key, and it permits the elongated active portion to protrude from the sleeve.
