  • Publication number: 20220151813
Abstract: A foldable pelvic binding device and method of use is provided. The device includes a main body divided into a plurality of panels and segments by a grid of living hinges, thereby facilitating movement between stowed and flat configurations. The main body is configured to couple with one or more other main body, as necessary or desired, to create a binding device that is sized for the required application, thereby accommodating a variety of applications in a variety of situations for a variety of body shapes and sizes. By engaging the binding device with a tourniquet, a binding system is created. When not in use, each the main body of the binding device can be moved to the stowable configuration by folding the various panels over each other.

  • Publication number: 20220119135
Abstract: A system and method for installing, deploying, and recovering a plurality of spacecraft that provides an ease of use and structural stability, and facilitates a standardization of spacecraft design. In embodiments of this invention, threaded rods are arranged orthogonal to a surface of a baseplate, and each spacecraft includes a coupling mechanism that selectively engages or disengages each threaded rod. Each spacecraft is added to the stack by engaging its coupling mechanism and rotating the threaded rods while the preceding spacecraft on the stack disengage their coupling mechanisms, thereby enabling the spacecraft to travel along the threaded rods toward the baseplate. When all the spacecraft are added to the stack, the stack is preloaded by rotating the treaded rods into a terminator component at the top of the stack while the coupling mechanisms in all of the spacecraft are disengaged. Spacecraft are deployed by reversing the process.

  • Publication number: 20220030463
Abstract: Systems and methods relate to a Self-Organizing Network (SON) that makes changes to operating parameters for the purpose of load balancing, to increase data communication throughput and capacity. A device may determine load balancing ratios and unused throughput for a first frequency band and a second frequency band for a cell site. The device may also determine, based on the load balancing ratios and the unused throughputs, whether a load balancing procedure for the cell site should be performed to increase a traffic throughput at the cell site.

  • Patent number: 11223724
Abstract: When a user visits a website in response to selecting an advertisement, information about the user and/or about the user's visit to the website can be obtained. During the user's visit to the website, a tracking phone number can be displayed. If the user calls the tracking phone number to complete a purchase, an identifier can be embedded in the phone call. A system that handles the phone call can extract the identifier and use it to uniquely associate the phone call with the information obtained about the user's online activity. The system can also use the identifier to obtain the information so it can be used to customize the routing and/or handling of the phone call. The information may also be employed to dynamically determine if or when to present a tracking phone number to the user.

  • Publication number: 20210399969
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and processes for centralized containerized deployment of network traffic sensors to network sensor hosts for deep packet inspection (DPI) that supports various other cybersecurity operations. A network sensor package containing a pre-configured network sensor container is received by a network sensor host from a network sensor deployment server. Installation of the network sensor package on the network sensor host causes execution of the network sensor container that further causes deployment of an on-premise network sensor along with a network sensor management system, a DPI system, and an intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS) system. The configurable on-premise network sensor is deployed on multiple operating system distributions of the network sensor host and generates actionable network metadata using DPI techniques for optimized log search and management and improved intrusion detection and response (IDR) operations.

  • Publication number: 20210400019
Abstract: The subject disclosure provides systems and methods for application-specific network data filtering. Application-specific network data filtering may be performed by a sandboxed process prior to providing the network data to an application to which the network data is directed. Any malicious or otherwise potentially harmful data that is included in the network data may be removed by the application-specific network data filter or may be allowed to corrupt the application specific network data filtering operations within the sandbox, thereby preventing the malicious or harmful data from affecting the application or other portions of an electronic device. In one or more implementations, a first process such as an application-specific network data filtering process may request allocation of memory for the first process from second process, such as an application, that is separate from a memory manager of the electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20210396743
Abstract: A radical departure from the classical E1-E2-E3 three-enzyme mediated ubiquitination of eukaryotes, the bacterial enzymes of the SidE family of Legionella pneumophila effectors utilize NAD+ to ligate ubiquitin onto target substrate proteins achieved via a two-step mechanism involving (1) ADP-ribosylation of ubiquitin followed by (2) phosphotransfer to a target serine residue. Using fluorescent NAD+ analogues as well as synthetic substrate mimics, a continuous assay system enabling real-time monitoring of both steps of this mechanism is disclosed herein. These assays are amenable to biochemical studies and high-throughput screening of inhibitors of these effectors, and enable the discovery and characterization of putative enzymes similar to the SidE family in other organisms.
