Publication number: 20210120122Abstract: Agencies issue recording devices to personnel for administrating and monitoring controlled calls during the course of their duties. To provide flexible capabilities to agencies, a virtual number is provisioned and configured to enable an operator to administrate controlled calls without dedicated recording devices. Using the virtual number, the operator may setup a controlled call between a victim and a baddie. The victim is contacted via the virtual number by the operator and optionally informed about the controlled call process. In turn, the baddie is contacted using number information of the victim's phone and connected with the victim. Call audio between the victim and baddie is transmitted to the operator. When necessary, the operator may terminate the call remotely from the telephonic device the operator used to setup the call.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 17, 2019Publication date: April 22, 2021Inventor: Christopher Ryan Bennett

Patent number: 10944860Abstract: Agencies oftentimes desire to monitor personnel in the field during the course of their duties. To provide flexible monitoring capabilities to agencies, a common mobile device such as a mobile phone is converted for use as a radio-based listening system to collect and transmit audio data. Phone features and accessories are leveraged to collect additional data for transmission. Collected data is streamed or otherwise transmitted to monitoring devices at the agency or in the field for operational oversight and recordation.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2019Date of Patent: March 9, 2021Assignee: World Emergency Network-Nevada, Ltd.Inventor: Christopher Ryan Bennett

Patent number: 10887456Abstract: Agencies issue multiple devices to personnel for maintaining distinct identities over the course of assigned investigations. To provide flexible capabilities to agencies, a phone is converted for use with multiple attached telephone numbers. Accordingly, a single phone may be used to manage multiple identities over the course of one or more investigations. Using a multiple attached number, a given device can place and receive calls over the network to and from contacts. In addition to providing multiple attached numbers, calls using the multiple attached numbers may be monitored live and recorded to establish evidence.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2019Date of Patent: January 5, 2021Assignee: WORLD EMERGENCY NETWORK—NEVADA, LTD.Inventor: Christopher Ryan Bennett

Patent number: 10887453Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable storage mediums are configured for implementing virtual numbers (VN) for intelligence operations involving source-handler communications in support of an agency. Example embodiments implementing virtual numbers eschew the requirement of the agency to maintain and configure dedicated hardware switches that contain SIM card pairs to manage the transfer of source-handler calls in a compliant fashion. Rather than maintaining physical SIMs for each handler and each source with dedicated hardware, each source and each handler are assigned a virtual number for communicating in a compliant fashion. A source communicates with the handler through the handler VN and the hander communicates with the source through the source VN, and communications completed through the VNs are logged for compliance. Communications between a handler and a source may be permitted only when an association of their VNs exists in a mapping table to prevent unauthorized contact through the VNs.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2020Date of Patent: January 5, 2021Assignee: WORLD EMERGENCY NETWORK—NEVADA, LTD.Inventor: Christopher Ryan Bennett

Publication number: 20200380142Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for on-device storage at a mobile bug of data of a one-way communications session where quality deteriorates. In an embodiment, a mobile bug receives a request to establish a one-way communications session, and responsively transmits data to a database for storage while refraining from storing the transmitted data subsequent to the transmission of the data. The mobile bug detects a deterioration in the one-way communications session that prevents, at least in part, the transmission of the data. Responsive to detecting the deterioration, while the deterioration is detected, the mobile bug stores the data in an encrypted format. The mobile bug detects a request for the data stored at the mobile bug, and responsively transmits the data to the database and deletes the data from the mobile bug.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 16, 2019Publication date: December 3, 2020Inventors: Christopher Ryan Bennett, DEREK ANTHONY SEROKY, ROBERT BEAUCHAMP MENKE

Publication number: 20200383163Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for reestablishing a mobile bug communications session. In an embodiment, a service establishes a one-way communications session between a mobile bug and a monitoring device, the one-way communications session providing data from the mobile bug to the monitoring device during the one-way communications session without audio being provided from the monitoring device to the mobile bug during the one-way communications session. The service detects a break in the one-way communications session, and determines whether the monitoring device has activated a remote reestablishment feature. Responsive determining that the monitoring device has activated the remote reestablishment feature, the service instructs the monitoring device to output an option to reestablish the one-way communications session. Responsive to detecting a selection of the option, the service corrects the break in the one-way communications session.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 12, 2019Publication date: December 3, 2020Inventors: Christopher Ryan Bennett, Derek Anthony Seroky

Patent number: 10796542Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for activating haptics during a one-way communications session with a mobile bug. The system may establish a one-way communications session between a mobile bug and a monitoring device, and may receive, from the monitoring device, a request to notify a user of the mobile bug of a circumstance. The system may compare data of the request to entries of a database, and may identify, based on the comparing, an entry of the request that matches the data. The system may determine a haptic output indicated by the entry, and may transmit a command to the mobile bug to vibrate according to the haptic output.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 2019Date of Patent: October 6, 2020Assignee: WORLD EMERGENCY NETWORK—NEVADA LTD.Inventors: Christopher Ryan Bennett, Derek Anthony Seroky

Patent number: 10441043Abstract: A contact lens travel device having a flexible body is provided. The body of the device is configurable to a circular configuration wherein fasteners engaged with opposing ends of the body compressively engage the body encircled around an eyeglass case. So engaged, the device is positionable as a stand for a mirror at multiple angles above a support surface for a user to employ for contact lens insertion or removal from their eyes. A fluid container is engageable within a pocket of the body with a cap end of the container extending from the perimeter to allow for dispensing of eye drops therefrom without removal of the container from the pocket.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2017Date of Patent: October 15, 2019Inventor: Ryan Bennett
