  • Publication number: 20250123298
Abstract: Provided are biomarkers for parenteral nutrition associated cholestasis (PNAC) in subjects, especially infants receiving parenteral nutrition (PN). Using such biomarkers provide methods of diagnosing and/or assessing risk of PNAC in a subject, including screening a sample from a subject believed to be at risk for PNAC for one or more biomarkers of PNAC. The biomarkers can include one or more fecal metabolites. Such biomarkers and associated methods provide neonatal intensive care unit clinicians with an additional tool for early identification of PNAC risk. Early identification of high-risk infants would enable clinicians to confidently optimize caloric nutrition with PN for infants at low risk of developing PNAC and enable proactive mitigation with alterations to the administered PN.

  • Publication number: 20250016933
Abstract: A retainer holds an assembly including multiple sub-components which are held together by screws or other threaded fasteners. One example assembly is a hard disk with a printed circuit board to be removed. A source of vibrational energy is brought adjacent to the assembly and activated to impart vibrational energy into the assembly. The vibrational energy is sufficient to cause the screws or other threaded fasteners to become unthreaded from holes in which they were originally located. Separation of the components from each other is thus facilitated. A machine is also disclosed for at least partial automation of the threaded fastener removal process. The machine operates within a case for management of sound caused by the operation of the machine according to one method of this invention. The vibrational energy can also cause sub-components to be removed which have been attached by bonding and/or welding.

  • Publication number: 20240249297
Abstract: Methods and systems for web-based management of consumer packaged goods (CPG). In an exemplary method, the management can be implemented at one or more nodes of supplying a product. A computing system can receive at least one input parameter associated with a first selected node of the nodes, and a request to generate a forecast for at least one output parameter based upon the input parameter. The computing system can generate the forecast based upon a database storing data of the nodes and upon implementing a model with the data and the input parameter. The method offers an integrated solution allowing all departments managing the CPG to leverage data to inform their specific use-cases. The bottom-up architecture ties customer DCs to retailers, and ties customer DCs to manufacturer DCs, allowing an integrated approach aligning the needs across all departments to a single system, resulting in a holistically better forecast.
