  • Publication number: 20110204758
Abstract: Embodiments hereof relate to an electronic device securement system for receiving and securing a portable electronic device to a protective housing. The electronic device is secured within the protective housing via a removable gasket, which is custom molded to stretch around the edges of the electronic device to receive the electronic device therein. The gasket is removably coupled to the protective housing via elastomeric protruding buttons of the gasket that frictionally engage holes formed in the protective housing. The electronic device securement system may include a closure strap. The closure strap may operate to transform the protective housing into an easel or stand for displaying the electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20070200674
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an electronic device having a location-based security feature. The device is generally operable to provide a primary security feature corresponding to a user input and provide a secondary security feature corresponding to a geographic security location of the electronic device. In various embodiments, the secondary security feature is operable to override the primary security feature. Such a configuration enables the secondary security feature to be satisfied independent of the user input.

  • Publication number: 20070016360
Abstract: A navigational device comprising navigational electronics and an improved menu-driven user interface. The navigational electronics are operable for receiving navigation signals from a source, for calculating a position of the device as a function of the signals, and for providing directions to a desired location. The user interface is operable for controlling certain functions of the device and includes a rotary wheel that may be moved in two directions with no mechanical limits for selecting at least one of the functions. In preferred forms, the rotary wheel is rotated up or down to highlight functions and then pushed in to selected a highlighted function.

  • Patent number: 7019759
Abstract: A method enables online purchase of customizable home construction plans. The method includes accessing a web based software package, customizing the home, and ordering the construction plans. The software package is a second aspect. The software allows the consumer to select different predefined features and add them to a stock floor plan. The selection of different features enables the customization of the home plan. The features selected are displayed to the consumer through a series of layers. The layers are superimposed on each other according to a predefined logic so that the consumer views what the home actually will look like rather an amalgamation of pieces. When the consumer is satisfied with the customized plan, the consumer orders formal plans and construction plans are sent to the consumer.
