  • Patent number: 9458345
Abstract: The present invention includes coating compositions and methods for coating substrates using the coating compositions. In some embodiments of the invention, a coating composition is prepared by a method including the steps of a) preparing a latex emulsion by a method including mixing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer component in a carrier to form a monomer emulsion, and reacting the monomer emulsion with an initiator to form the latex emulsion, b) preparing a hydroxyl functional oil graft copolymer by a method including reacting an epoxidized vegetable oil with a hydroxyl functional material in the presence of an acid catalyst to form a hydroxyl functional oil polyol, and reacting the hydroxyl functional oil polyol with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer component in the presence of an initiator to form the hydroxyl functional oil polyol graft copolymer, and c) blending the latex emulsion and a crosslinker then adding the hydroxyl functional oil graft copolymer to form the coating composition.

  • Publication number: 20160217408
Abstract: A command center provides ad-hoc search and navigation through different dimensional topic levels that allow users to better analyze and correlate data. The command center not only generates and displays content and metrics associated with an event, but can also generate and display real-time content and metrics for other topics, products, and/or services related to a currently displayed topic. The command center enables a user to navigate through the different dimensional levels simply by selecting items displayed by a remote control application. The command center also automatically synchronizes the content and metrics for any selected dimension to a same corresponding time period.

  • Publication number: 20160216429
Abstract: In various embodiments, a panel luminaire (300, 400, 500) may include a housing (302, 402) that frames a light aperture (304, 404), a linear substrate (308, 408) mounted to the housing along a first plane, at least one light source (306, 406) mounted along the linear substrate to emit light along the first plane, and a planar light guide (310, 410, 510) mounted to the housing parallel to the first plane. The planar light guide may include a light extraction feature (312) to extract light emitted by the at least one light source. In some embodiments, a portion (334) of a periphery (314) of the planar light guide may be curved to redirect light emitted by the at least one light source towards the light extraction feature. In some embodiments, the planar light guide and an aesthetic panel (418, 518) of the housing may be spaced apart to form a gap (420, 520) big enough to allow for the aesthetic panel to be three dimensional.

  • Publication number: 20160040587
Abstract: A cooling system is provided for an engine. The cooling system may have an air cooler configured to cool intake air being supplied to the engine. The cooling system may also have a sensor configured to generate a temperature signal indicative of a temperature of the intake air and a fan in proximity to the air cooler. The cooling system may further have a controller in communication with the sensor and the fan. The controller may be configured to cause the fan to operate at a speed that is a function of the temperature signal when the temperature of the intake air is above a threshold temperature. The controller may further be configured to selectively cause the fan to pulse when the temperature of the intake air drops below the threshold temperature.

  • Patent number: 9233651
Abstract: A method of making an interior automotive panel. The method includes placing at least one three dimensional panel component on a first mold component having a mold surface shaped to form the exterior surface of the interior automotive panel. The at least one three-dimensional panel component has an exterior surface in contact with the mold surface. The method includes registering a registration feature of the at least one three-dimensional panel component with a groove defined by the mold surface of the first mold component and positioning a second mold component in registered communication with the first mold component. Together the first and second mold components define a void in the shape of the interior automotive panel. The method includes injecting resin into the void and removing a formed interior automotive panel from the first and second molds, the interior automotive panel having multiple surfaces of different surface qualities.
