  • Publication number: 20020027627
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device comprises an array substrate including a plurality of pixel electrodes, a counter substrate including a counter electrode facing the pixel electrodes, and a liquid crystal layer which modulates reflected and transmitted light of each pixel held between the substrates and defined by a corresponding pixel electrode. In particular, each pixel electrode has a conductive light reflective layer which reflects incident light and at least one opening which is formed as a missing portion of the conductive light reflective film to transmit incident light.

  • Patent number: 6061110
Abstract: A reflecting type liquid crystal display device having, a first substrate provided on one main surface thereof with a first electrode comprising a plurality of pixel electrodes arrayed in a matrix form and a wiring interposed between these pixel electrodes, the first substrate being disposed on an observation side, a second substrate provided on one main surface thereof with a second electrode and disposed to face the first substrate in such a manner that the surface bearing the second electrode faces to the surface bearing the first electrode, a liquid crystal composition layer interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a white reflecting layer formed on a region of the surface of the first substrate where the first electrode is not formed.

  • Patent number: 5947175
Abstract: A multi-piece rim includes a lock ring and a gutter band having a lock ring groove. The lock ring groove includes a bottom surface, axially inboard and outboard curved surfaces connected to opposite ends of the bottom surface, and axially inboard and outboard side surfaces connected to the axially inboard and outboard curved surfaces. A lock ring escaping groove is formed at a transition point from the axially outboard curved surface to the axially outboard side surface and a surface portion adjacent to the transition point. The lock ring escaping groove is recessed in a direction away from the lock ring.

  • Patent number: 4362291
Abstract: In a metal mold for molding a hollow product having inwardly tapered side wall with a stationary die plate for forming a bottom portion of the product, a core, and a cavity plate surrounding the core, the core has a truncated pyramid shape and first and second slide cores are provided between the core and the cavity plate. The core and slide cores are constructed such that at the time of opening the mold both slide cores are moved inwardly in an interlocked relation with retractive movement of the core thus leaving one end of the molded product for enabling removal thereof.
