  • Patent number: 11936786
Abstract: Provided is novel technology for secure security data transmission and more particularly for registering network-enabled security devices such as IP cameras to a security server over a public network such as to a cloud-based security service. An enrolment server is provided that is logged into using a computing device to request and receive an activation code for the security device. The activation code is then provided to the security device, e.g. directly by the computing device. The Security device authenticates itself based on the activation code and in one example provides a public key that will be used to verify its registration. Data transmissions by the device are secured in part on the basis of its registration.

  • Publication number: 20220129443
Abstract: Systems, methods, devices and computer readable media for accessing a document are described herein. A virtual file system comprising one or more virtual files is provided at a computing device. A document authoring application obtains a blockchain reference from a virtual file. The virtual file corresponds to a document stored in a blockchain by a document management system. The blockchain reference is indicative of the blockchain having stored therein the document. The document authoring application transmits a document access request comprising the blockchain reference to the document management system. The document management system receives a temporary file corresponding to a latest version of the document from the document management system. The document authoring application outputs at least in part the contents of the document from the temporary.

  • Patent number: 9921373
Abstract: There is provided a mating assembly for mating a fiber-optic termination comprising a fiber-optic ferrule to an optical test instrument. The mating assembly comprises: a holding body having internal tubular dimensions substantially complementary to corresponding external dimensions of the fiber-optic ferrule of said fiber-optic termination, to hold the fiber-optic ferrule in a given alignment relative to the optical test instrument; and at least one deformable elastomeric feature extending inwardly in the holding body to frictionally engage on a smooth external surface of said fiber-optic ferrule and to provide friction thereon to retain said fiber-optic ferrule.
