  • Patent number: 9833300
Abstract: A screw type dental implant system (1), having a dental implant fixture (2), a multifunctional component (3) and an abutment screw (4). The screw shape dental implant fixture has an external surface having buttress threads on the body and micro threads at the collar. This combination provides the advantages of: improved biomechanics at the implant abutment interface, self-tapping nature to the implant, and minimizing the stresses at the crest of the bone leading to decrease resorption of crestal bone. The multifunctional component serves the purposes of implant mount, impression analog and final abutment and has a single prosthetic platform so one component is compatible with different implant dimensions, which minimizes the inventory needed for the implant system and allows easy handling of the system. The multifunctional component also has an external concave transmucosal portion for enhancing the emergence profile and internal threads for securing the abutment screw.

  • Patent number: 9671485
Abstract: A high resolution data acquisition (DAQ) system is initially calibrated with a reference source having a resolution higher than the DAQ system. Measurements over the operating range of the DAQ system are taken, and characteristic calibration coefficients are determined from the measurements. Software corrections based upon the calibration coefficients are made to DAQ system measurements. A digital to analog converter (DAC) on-board the DAQ system having a lower resolution than the DAQ system is calibrated by generating a look-up table of input digital codewords and output electrical signals measured by the calibrated DAQ system. This look-up table is used to field calibrate the DAQ system using only the DAC, rather than the high resolution reference source.

  • Publication number: 20170091207
Abstract: An approach for generating an index in Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) source files. The approach determines a gerund-noun listing based, at least in part, on one or more files. The approach determines a prioritized index of the gerund-noun listing. The approach determines one or more similar index entries of the prioritized index. The approach determines whether a fraternal association exists between at least two of the one or more similar index entries. Responsive to a determination that a fraternal association exists between at least two of the one or more similar index entries, the approach determines whether an inheritance from a parent exists. The approach determines based, at least in part, on whether a fraternal association exists and whether an inheritance from a parent exists, a DITA index.

  • Patent number: 9495175
Abstract: Various user interface components and features can be tested and simulated with the unified framework module, and the full application user experience can be tested, experienced and evaluated. This can assist the design process of an application in providing the ability to test and explore different user interface components. During this process the user components can be simulated to provide the user experience so it can be determined whether the user components are organized properly and the prototype can be validated before the full blown application is launched. Also user interface features can be further modified or added based on the user feedback. The unified framework module can be configured to package a program in a form that is suitable for any targeted device and/or channel to make deployment across various devices and channels more efficient and cost effective.

  • Patent number: 9367523
Abstract: Various embodiments of a system and methods for using design features to search for page layout designs are described. The document and image structures of a page layout design may be analyzed to determine design features which define the style of the page layout design. Dependent on the design features, style scores may be calculated for the page layout design. Page layout designs may be stored in a database in association with corresponding style scores. A user may indicate a desired page layout style by indicating example page layout designs which exhibit the desired style. Style scores for the example page layout designs may be compared to the style scores for page layout designs stored in the database. Dependent on the comparison, page layout designs stored in the database may be selected and displayed to the user.
