In some cases, fabricating the electrode includes combining BDD nanoparticles with a polymeric resin precursor to yield a mixture including a metal oxide, coating a conductive substrate with the mixture to yield a coated substrate, and calcining the coated substrate to yield a metal oxide coating including BDD nanoparticles.

    Abstract: Porous ePTFE articles coated with a hydrophilic coating are provided. The coating may be modified by covalent modifications to the PVOH coating. Covalent modifications may include small molecule grafting, polymer grafting to or from the PVOH backbone, crosslinking of the polymer via thermal or photochemistry, and the like, and combinations thereof. A second polymer coating may be applied onto the PVOH coating. The second polymer may be added, for example, by using a saturation coating technique such as dip coating or spray coating to saturate a PVOH coated ePTFE substrate with a second polymer carried by a fluid. Application of the second polymer may form a second conformal coating over the first PVOH coating.

    Abstract: A head-mounted device may include optical assemblies for presenting images to a user. Removable vision correction lenses may be used to correct for user vision defects such as nearsightedness. The vision correction lenses may be removably coupled to the optical assemblies. When coupled to the optical assemblies, the vision correction lenses overlap the fixed lenses. Each removable vision correction lens and corresponding optical assembly may have structures such as kinematic mount alignment protrusions and recesses configured to form a kinematic coupling. Debris mitigation features may be provided such as alignment structure debris covers, debris collection grooves, magnets for attracting debris, adhesive for gathering debris, and liquid drainage holes to facilitate washing to remove debris.
