  • Patent number: 11962820
Abstract: Provided are an image generation apparatus, an image generation method, and a program for generating an image indicative of play status of a game in which two-dimensional objects representative of information to be offered to a viewing audience at the destination of delivery are clearly expressed. An image acquisition section acquires a game image indicative of the content to be displayed on a display device, the game image representing at least the play status of a game in which a virtual three-dimensional object placed in a virtual three-dimensional space is viewed from a point of view in the virtual three-dimensional space. The image acquisition section also acquires a delivery target two-dimensional image indicating a two-dimensional object targeted for delivery, the delivery target two-dimensional image having the same resolution as that of an image to be delivered.

  • Patent number: 11837199
Abstract: An image transmission apparatus, an image transmission method, and a program enable a transmission destination to display an image similar to the image displayed at a transmission source. A display target image generation section generates a display target image having a display non-target region reflecting settings of a safe area of a display section. A display control section causes the display section to display an actual display image constituting a portion of the display target image. A transmission image generation section generates a transmission image that represents a portion of the display target image and excludes at least a portion of the display non-target region. A transmission section transmits the transmission image.

  • Patent number: 11763519
Abstract: Provided are an alpha value determination apparatus, an alpha value determination method, a program, and a data structure of image data that can represent an image rich in both color and transparency while suppressing the storage capacity necessary for storing the image data. A pixel data storage unit stores a plurality of pieces of pixel data indicating a pixel value and an index and associated individually with a plurality of pixels included in an image. An alpha value data storage unit stores alpha value data that is referenced in common by the index indicated in the plurality of pieces of pixel data and that indicates correspondence between the index and an alpha value. A combined image generation unit determines alpha values of a plurality of pixels associated with the respective pieces of pixel data based on the index indicated in the pixel data and the alpha value data.

  • Publication number: 20220254321
Abstract: Provided are a display control apparatus, a display control method, and a program that enable developers to implement application programs without needing to be aware of a safe area. An image acquisition section (42) acquires an image that is drawn in a frame buffer by an application program. A safe area setting specification section (44) specifies the setting of a safe area in a display section. An image generation section (48) generates a display target image including, as a part, the image sized according to the setting of the safe area. A display control section (50) causes the display section to display the display target image.

  • Patent number: 10839499
Abstract: During a period in which it is necessary to display two or more images in a superimposed manner, an image generation block of an information processing apparatus supplies the data of the image concerned to a superimposition processing block. A first image acquisition block and a second image acquisition block of the superimposition processing block acquire a first image and a second image, respectively, to be displayed in a superimposed manner. A luminance range adjustment block adjusts at least one luminance range as required with amount of adjustment corresponding to an alpha (?) value set to the second image. An output value computation block executes the computation of alpha blending by use of the image after adjustment so as to determine the pixel value of a display image, thereby outputting the determined pixel value to an image output block.

  • Patent number: 10733963
Abstract: A luminance space conversion section of an information processing apparatus converts an image signal represented in a luminance space corresponding to an SDR into a signal represented in a luminance space corresponding to an HDR, and outputs the converted signal to a synthesis processing section that performs alpha blend processing on an HDR image. In an adjustment mode, a parameter adjustment section allows a display apparatus to display an adjustment image represented in the SDR and adjusts a parameter used for a conversion of the luminance space so that a change in a display image is made small before and after converting the luminance space. The parameter is stored in a conversion parameter storage section after the adjustment and is used when a luminance signal conversion section performs conversion processing.

  • Patent number: 10401628
Abstract: An image generating section reads image data from an image storing section to generate an original image in keeping with the attitude of a head-mounted display. A lens distortion correcting section generates a primary image by correcting beforehand the original image in a manner canceling out the distortion thereof that appears when viewed through lenses of the head-mounted display. A different image embedding section generates an embedded image by embedding a different image into an unused area of a rectangular format for transmitting the primary image. An HDMI transmitting section transfers the embedded image to the head-mounted display.

  • Patent number: 8908096
Abstract: First and second division patterns are defined so that main areas A and A? are similar to each other in shape, having the same horizontal-to-vertical ratio. Even if an image output apparatus is connected to a display unit having both first and second display screens, the image output apparatus generates an identical image for the main area A or A? regardless of the aspect ratio of the display screen. The main areas A and A? display important information and the like. Sub areas B and B? display auxiliary information. The first and second division patterns may be determined so that the sub areas B and B? are similar to each other in shape like the main areas.

  • Patent number: 8559798
Abstract: A rendering process for rendering an image frame and a postprocess for adapting the image frame to a display are separated. A rendering processing unit 42 generates an image frame sequence by performing rendering at a predetermined frame rate regardless of a condition that the image frame should meet for output to the display. A postprocessing unit 50 subjects the image frame sequence generated by the rendering processing unit to a merge process so as to generate and output an updated image frame sequence that meets the condition. Since the rendering process and the postprocess are separated, the image frame sequence can be generated regardless of the specification of the display such as resolution and frame rate of the display.
