  • Patent number: 12007823
Abstract: A power-management scheme where when a system-on-chip (SoC) is in an active state, control and monitoring logic or circuitry turns off all wake logic or circuits for various associated intellectual property (IP) blocks. Based on user defined operating system power manager (OSPM) policies, OSPM kicks off an interrupt to the control and monitoring logic or circuitry to turn off or power gate the wake logic for individual IP blocks in the SoC. As such, wake logic that are idle in active state (e.g., S0 state) and would otherwise draw power in the S0 state are now turned off, thus saving power and/or extending battery life for the system. When the SoC is in a low power state, then the control and monitoring logic or circuitry selectively turns on the wake logic for the associated IP blocks based on detected user presence for the computing system having the SoC.

  • Publication number: 20240180542
Abstract: A constant distraction force driven self-actuating growing rod system is provided for implantation on a corrected bony anatomy. The system includes components selected from the group consisting of at least one static rod, intermediate rod, or growth rod component; at least one compression spring component; at least one magnetic field-based spring actuation mechanism; at least one mechanical biasing mechanism, at least one casing, at least one guide rod and at least one spring actuator mechanism to apply an active distraction force; at least one magnetic field-based spring actuation mechanism and at least one dynamic sealing plug. During natural growth of the corrected bony anatomy, the growth rod component telescopes out of the intermediate rod component, creating a distraction force deficit that is corrected by causing the compression spring component to get compressed by the magnetic field-based spring actuation mechanism or the mechanical biasing mechanism, thereby maintaining an active distraction force.

  • Publication number: 20240186888
Abstract: Various examples are provided related to fault detection of power converters. In one example, a method includes sensing phase currents of a three-phase transformer; determining a centroid vector in an alpha-beta stationary reference frame based upon averaged values of the sensed phase currents; identifying a fault on a side of the transformer based upon a location of the centroid vector within the alpha-beta stationary reference frame, the location defined by a magnitude and an angle of the centroid vector; and adjusting operation of the power converter in response to the identified fault. In another example, a power converter includes a three-phase transformer connected between primary and secondary side three-phase bridges and control circuitry that can determine a centroid vector based upon sensed phase currents; identify a fault on a side of the three-phase transformer; and adjust operation of the power converter in response to the identified fault.

  • Patent number: 12003754
Abstract: Given that decoder side motion vector refinement/derivation is a normative aspect of a coding system, the encoder will also have to perform the same error surface technique in order to not have any drift between the encoder's reconstruction and the decoder's reconstruction. Hence, all aspects of all embodiments are applicable to both encoding and decoding systems. In template matching, the refinement movement occurs only in the reference starting from the sub-pixel accurate center that is derived based on the explicitly signaled merge index or implicitly through cost evaluations. In bilateral matching (with or without averaged template), the refinements start in the reference lists L0 and L1 starting from the respective sub-pixel accurate centers that are derived based on the explicitly signaled merge index or implicitly through cost evaluations.

  • Patent number: 12001775
Abstract: A data corpus is partitioned into text strings for header classification. A group characteristic is computed for a text string, and whether the group characteristic satisfies a group characteristic criterion is determined. The text string may be disqualified from header classification if the group characteristic criterion is not satisfied, or one or more font characteristics may be determined for the text string if the group characteristic criterion is satisfied. A font characteristic that meets one or more prevalence criteria may be identified and evaluated to determine whether the font characteristic meets at least one font characteristic criterion. The text string may be disqualified from header classification if the font characteristic criterion is not satisfied, or if the font characteristic meets the font characteristic criterion, the text string is classified as a header, and tagged content is generated by applying a header tag to the text string.

  • Patent number: 11994422
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to wastewater management that provides a method and a system for monitoring a sewer manhole from a remote location. The sewer monitoring system configured in a sewer manhole receives measured values from a level sensor and determines an accuracy error in the measured values for different conditions. The sewer monitoring system resolves the accuracy error in the measured values to obtain accurate measured values by either measuring a level of wastewater in the sewer manhole by setting a first range limit for the measured values dynamically based on an actual depth of the sewer manhole, or iteratively measuring the level of wastewater in the sewer manhole by setting unique a second range limit for the measured values dynamically. A risk associated with the sewer manhole based on the accurate measured values of the level sensor is determined, for monitoring the sewer manhole from a remote location.
