    Abstract: An information handling system includes a battery, a managed device, a host processing complex to instantiate a hosted processing environment, a wireless management module, and a management controller coupled to the wireless management module. The wireless management module includes a wireless transceiver. When the host processing complex is unpowered, the wireless management module receives power from the battery and receives configuration information for the managed device via the wireless transceiver. The management manages the managed device out of band from the hosted processing environment based upon the configuration information.

    Abstract: A server rack includes a management controller, a power mapping module coupled to the management controller, and a plurality of power receptacles. Each power receptacle is coupled to the power mapping module to provide an indication to the power mapping module of the power consumed by equipment that is plugged in to each power receptacle. The management controller is operable to determine that the power consumed by the equipment installed in the server rack is greater than a high power threshold and throttle a first piece of equipment installed in the rack.

The first management controller further receives from the management switch, a plurality of second lists, one for each particular active port in the first list, each second list including an identification for the associated second management controller, and determines a map of the management network based upon the first list and the plurality of second lists.

    Abstract: A system includes an access controller including a short range wireless communication controller to couple to a mobile device, and an access point including a long range wireless communication controller. The access point is coupled to the access controller via a secure link, and the access controller authenticates a user of the mobile device and provides access information from the mobile device to the access point via the secure link in response to authenticating the user. The access point couples to the mobile device using the access information to via the long range wireless communication controller and receives unique identification information associated with the mobile device from the mobile device. The system generates a digital certificate associated with the unique identification information and provides the digital certificate to the mobile device.

The server rack receives the first operating temperature via the first baseboard management controller, adjusts a first operating parameter of the first server pod element based on the first operating temperature, receives the second operating temperature, and directs a first active floor tile to adjust a first air conditioning vent of the first active floor tile based on the second operating temperature.
