Various beneficial options for rapidly providing the emergency signal are disclosed. The UE and the base station may enter an emergency mode, where the UE may provide further information on its power back-off conditions. Based on the information received from the UE, the base station may determine to perform adaptation of the radio link to avoid radio link failure.
