  • Patent number: 11653953
Abstract: Implants with grip grooves are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, an implant includes a rod-receiving recess defining a rod axis where an inner surface of the rod-receiving recess defines two grip grooves extending parallel to each other and the rod axis. Each grip groove defines two edges where the grip groove intersects the inner surface, the four edges of the two grip grooves together defining a circular radius about the rod axis. The implant includes a retaining member configured to move with respect to the body to apply a force against a rod that is perpendicular to the rod axis, the force engaging the rod against the four edges of the grip grooves, where the engagement of the four edges of the grip grooves against the rod restrains rotational movement of the rod about the rod axis.

  • Patent number: 11625892
Abstract: One embodiment provides a user interface (UI) that permits users to select how point cloud colorings determined from multiple data sources are blended together in a rendering of a point cloud. The data sources may include photographic, label, and/or LIDAR intensity data. To improve frame rates, an aggregated point cloud may be generated using a spatial hash of a large set of points and sampling of each hash bucket based on the number of points therein and a user-configurable density. Sizes of points in the point cloud may decrease proportionally to distance from a viewer, but increase based on an activation function that enlarges points greater than a threshold distance from the viewer. In addition, luminance statistics for sub-regions of photographic data and dominant colors determined from photographic data may be used to automatically determine color properties to apply to a point cloud coloring.

  • Publication number: 20230097345
Abstract: In a first participant in a network—such as an ad hoc wireless network—a facility performs peer regulation of the network. The facility monitors behavior of a second participant in the network that has appointed itself a routing participant for the network. Among the monitored behavior, the facility identifies behavior of the second participant that is inconsistent with its routing participant status. In response to this identifying, the facility sends a message to participants of the network including a third participant indicating that the second participant is no longer a routing participant.

  • Publication number: 20230096692
Abstract: A facility operating in a first mobile communication device (MCD) is described. The facility generates a key pair made up of a private key and a public key for use by the first MCD in communicating with other MCDs. The public key has information content. The facility constructs a first public key component and a second public key component, that each encode an incomplete portion of the information content of the public key; and that collectively encode the complete information content of the public key. The facility transmits a wireless message for receipt by other MCDs; it has (1) first contents that identify the wireless message as a notification signal, and (2) as second contents, the first public key component. The second contents are located at a position in the first wireless message that identifies the second contents as the node ID of the first MCD.

  • Publication number: 20230076132
Abstract: Seamless connectivity utilizing multi-domain security by storing a global key on each participant computing devices. When a participant computing device tries to connect to a network, the network sends encryption keys for that network in response to that participant computing device providing the global key and not being blacklisted. The participant computing device can then connect to the network using that network's encryption key. A meta-message container is generated for the message based on a next participant in a route from the transmitting participant to the destination participant. One or more series of one or more line items are generated for the message, with each line item being tagged tag with network information. The line items are encrypted based on the network information. The meta-message container and the encrypted series of line items are then transmitted to the next participant.

  • Publication number: 20220353148
Abstract: Embodiments described are directed to the evaluation of a dynamically changing communication network environment to ensure that individual participant thresholds and network-centric thresholds are maintained and satisfied. A plurality of conditions for multiple dimensions of data are set for each participant in the network and for the network as a whole. The participant and network conditions, along with the participant capabilities, are considered holistically across the entire network to determine if the network and the participants are meeting thresholds for the different dimensions of data. In various embodiments, the thresholds, either at an individual participant level or at the network level, may be augmented with priorities to ensure that higher priorities are satisfied.

  • Patent number: 11467946
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for setting a breakpoint for debugging a neural network. User input is received by a debugger program executable by a host processor indicating a target layer of a neural network at which to halt execution of the neural network. The neural network includes a first set of instructions to be executed by a first execution engine and a second set of instructions to be executed by a second execution engine. A first halt point is set within the first set of instructions and a second halt point is set within the second set of instructions. It is then determined that operation of the first execution engine and the second execution engine has halted. It is then determined that the first execution engine has reached the first halt point. The second execution engine is then caused to move through instructions until reaching the second halt point.

  • Patent number: 11461622
Abstract: Embodiments include techniques for enabling execution of N inferences on an execution engine of a neural network device. Instruction code for a single inference is stored in a memory that is accessible by a DMA engine, the instruction code forming a regular code block. A NOP code block and a reset code block for resetting an instruction DMA queue are stored in the memory. The instruction DMA queue is generated such that, when it is executed by the DMA engine, it causes the DMA engine to copy, for each of N inferences, both the regular code block and an additional code block to an instruction buffer. The additional code block is the NOP code block for the first N?1 inferences and is the reset code block for the Nth inference. When the reset code block is executed by the execution engine, the instruction DMA queue is reset.
