  • Publication number: 20240160284
Abstract: Disclosed herein are an exemplary apparatus, system, and methods (e.g., Tactical Passive RFID transponder gloves with Morphological Actuation) comprising a glove made predominately of a resistive fabric that varies resistance per degree of deformation; comprising near field communication RFID tag readers, and a controller coupled to the glove to evaluate the varied resistance. A method of classifying RFID tags is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10706570
Abstract: A system and method for acquiring the three-dimensional shape of an object. At least one camera captures a scene in which a projected pattern is moved across an object and reference surface. The movement of said pattern need not be perfectly uniform, because differences in the movement at each step are detected and compensated. This compensation reduces the required hardware complexity and cost.

  • Publication number: 20200068968
Abstract: A garment includes a waist band and a pair of leg sleeves. The garment is made of an elastic material, such as woven elastane fibers so that the garment is skintight. The waist band of the present invention includes an inner pocket and an outer pocket that overlap one another. The outer pocket may be defined by a first panel and the inner pocket may be defined by a second panel. The first panel and the second panel may also be made of the elastic material. The inner pocket may store a firearm and the outer pocket may store a card to cover the trigger guard and prevent accidental discharge of the firearm.

  • Publication number: 20190318622
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed at an improved license plate recognition (LPR) device for identifying vehicular information. In some embodiments, the LPR device includes a DC power source for electrically powering the unit, one or more cameras, processors (or computers), circuitry, and programs for processing images/video captured by the one or more cameras to extract license plate information and/or perform other suitable image processing functions within the LPR device in situ, wired and wireless communications for linking multiple such camera units to each other and to a central data base. The cameras may include infrared and/or color sensors and LEDs, rolling or global shutters, and optical filters.

  • Publication number: 20180252062
Abstract: A thread shear based wireline adapter kit and downhole tool setting arrangement including a downhole tool having an inside diameter flow path extending therethrough after setting of the downhole tool, a wireline adapter kit disposed in the flow path, a member disposed at a downhole end of the downhole tool, the member having a threadform therein, the threadform threaded to the wireline adapter kit, the threadform shearable to release the wireline adapter kit from the downhole tool after setting leaving the flow path open. A method for setting a downhole tool including pulling a wireline adapter kit (WLAK) that is secured to a downhole tool by a threadform, loading the threadform axially to set the tool, further loading the threadform to axially shear the threadform, releasing the WLAK from the downhole tool leaving a flow path through the downhole tool.

  • Publication number: 20150336334
Abstract: When producing large work-pieces, an operator often faces the problem of accessing all areas of an inclined, high surface. The present invention proposes a device and a method for climbing up inclined surface wherein a plurality of steps are attached to a flexible support, which can be provided for example by a mat. The present invention finds a particular convenient application in the field of wind turbine production, for example when layers of glass fibers have to be laid onto the walls of a mould.
