    Abstract: The embodiments described herein relate to an improved system and algorithm for searching for a resonant frequency of a resonant actuator where the error between the drive frequency of the LRA and the resonant frequency of the LRA is large. In one embodiment, the drive frequency of a resonant actuator is set to an initial drive frequency, which is applied to the LRA. An induced voltage on the resonant actuator crosses can then be detected crossing a threshold voltage after the drive signal is turned off. If crossing the threshold voltage is not detected, the system is configured to sweep through a plurality of drive frequencies until the induced voltage on the resonant actuator is detected crossing the threshold voltage. This can be accomplished by repeatedly adjusting the drive frequency by a predefined incremental frequency ?F and determining when the induced voltage on the LRA crosses the threshold voltage.

The processor may further determine a color temperature for outputting light from a display facing a first direction based on a light output characteristic for a dedicated illumination element facing the first direction, the determined ambient color temperature, and a desired color temperature of the subject. The processor may further illuminate the subject using both the dedicated illumination element and the display. The display may output light based on the determined color temperature for outputting light from the display. The processor may further capture, using an image sensor facing the first direction, an image of the subject during the subject being illuminated using both the dedicated illumination element and the display.

For example, three or more camera flash LEDs of different output colors can be used to match any of a range of ambient color temperatures in a non-linear space on the black body curve. The scene color temperature can be analyzed in a preliminary image by determining actual sensor R/G and B/G ratios, enabling more accurate matching of foreground flash lighting to background lighting by the reference illuminant for subsequent white balance processing. The current provided to, and therefore brightness emitted from, each LED can be individually controlled based on the determined sensor response to provide a dynamic and adaptive mix of the output colors of the LEDs.

    Abstract: A method and system for selecting connections to bump based on priority in a network. The present invention describes a method for selecting connections to bump in a network to accommodate an incoming connection. The method begins by receiving an incoming connection that is associated with a priority level and a bandwidth group. A plurality of existing connections is indexed by priority level and bandwidth group. A required bandwidth is calculated that is necessary to support the incoming connection. Then, a single existing connection is selected to be released from the plurality of existing connections that is associated with a lower priority and a higher bandwidth group than the incoming connection. If a single connection cannot be selected, then at least one existing connection is selected to be released having a lower priority level and at least the same bandwidth group than that of the incoming connection.
