  • Patent number: 11032156
Abstract: Aspects relate to a framework for utilizing a single API request to manage the creation of consistent snapshots for a set of volumes attached an individual instance in a distributed computing environment. Responsive to receipt of an API request identifying the instance, the multi-volume snapshot service identifies a set of volumes attached to the identified instance. The identified set of volumes can be processed or filtered to eliminate specific volumes or types of volumes, such as boot volumes. In the event that any snapshot creation attempt fails, the multi-volume snapshot service fails the API request and can delete any snapshot data generated prior to the failure.

  • Patent number: 11016671
Abstract: Generally described, one or more aspects of the present application relate to a public snapshot service for creating and managing block-level snapshots. For example, the public snapshot service can create a snapshot based on (i) a specification of a parent snapshot to be used as a basis for a given snapshot, and (ii) a specification of the data blocks to be backed up in the given snapshot. The data blocks in the snapshot may be stored in a specific storage path structure that facilitates computation of a block difference with respect to the parent snapshot.

  • Patent number: 11005468
Abstract: A method for performing duty-cycle correction of an output clock in a Double Data Rate (DDR) system includes: setting a fixed delay of a rising-edge of the output clock as a parameter X which is equal to a digital Master Delay Locked Loop (MDLL) code of the DDR system multiplied by a percentage representing an estimated distortion of the duty-cycle of the output clock from a desired duty-cycle; shifting the rising-edge of the output clock by the fixed delay; and determining whether a duty cycle of the shifted output clock meets the desired duty-cycle. When a duty-cycle of the shifted output clock meets the desired duty-cycle, the fixed rising-edge delay is taken as a final delay code for the output clock; otherwise, a falling-edge of the output clock is shifted by an amount in a range between 0 and NX, wherein N is an integer.

  • Patent number: 10992758
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses may provide virtualization of device management services (e.g., device drivers) dedicated managing a particular device and designed under for or under the assumption the particular device and the device management service will be utilized in a single session/user environment, so that virtual instances of the device management services may be used in a multi-session environment. Further, a redirection and/or virtualization layer may be created for each session in the multi-session environment to perform global database redirection, object name translation, and file system translation to ensure session boundaries are maintained and global/shared resources are not inappropriately altered by a session. As an example, the redirection/virtualization layer may redirect communications associated with a session and for a global resource to access a virtual instance of the resource specific to the session.
