Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed herein that increase a match rate for over-the-top media. An example apparatus includes a signature generator to generate a first signature of a first portion of a first media element and an audience measurement interface to receive a second signature of media monitored by a panelist meter. The example apparatus further includes a media element analyzer to compare the first signature and the second signature, determine a number of hits associated with the first media element based on the comparison, and, when the number of hits meets a threshold, generate a third signature of the first media element, the third signature generated for a second portion of the first media element, the second portion greater than the first portion.

Example media monitoring methods disclosed herein include capturing and storing image data corresponding to image frames of media data transmitted in a media signal from a media source device to a media display device. Disclosed example methods also include detecting audio transitions in audio data of the media data transmitted in the media signal. Disclosed example methods further include determining, in response to detection of a first audio transition in the audio data, application identification information in an image frame captured prior to the detection of the first audio transition. Abstract: Example methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to facilitate meter to meter matching for media identification. Example apparatus disclosed herein include an unknown signature comparer, a stack counter, and a reference database updater. The unknown signature comparer is to select a candidate unknown signature segment meeting a threshold length from a set of unknown signature segments collected at a first audience measurement location and to compare individual signatures of the candidate unknown signature segment with a collection of unknown signature segments collected at a second audience measurement location. The stack counter is to count a number of times that the candidate unknown signature segment matches unknown signature segments in the collection and to identify the candidate unknown signature segment as a matched signature segment when the number of times meets a counter threshold.
