  • Publication number: 20020170372
Abstract: A reverse shift device of a manual transmission is disclosed to reduce the total length of the transmission, improve shift feeling and decrease noise by excluding a reverse idler gear that rotates, while being meshed between input and output axles, the device comprising: an idle axle fixed at a shift case; and an idle synchronizer installed at the idle axle for switching a state of conveying the rotational force of an input axle to an output axle at the time of forward-reverse shifts.

  • Patent number: 6473985
Abstract: A remote center compliance system having a variable center, an upper plate, a lower plate, and elastic bodies installed between the upper and lower plates, includes lower rotary plates, each having a rotation axis parallel to a center axis passing the center of the lower plate and the center of the upper plate, coupled to a lower end of each of the elastic bodies and coupled to the lower plate for rotating, and upper rotary plates, each being coupled to an upper end of each of the elastic bodies and concurrently coupled to the upper plate for rotating about the rotation axis of the lower rotary plate. A center axis of each of the elastic bodies is inclined with respect to the rotation axis of the lower rotary plate to which each of the elastic bodies is coupled. Thus, when parts having different lengths are to be assembled, the assembly of the parts can be easily performed only by rotating the rotary plates and the elastic bodies without changing the RCA system to cope with various lengths of the parts.

  • Publication number: 20020121358
Abstract: A heatsink and a heatsink device using the heatsink are provided. The heatsink is formed of a plurality of thin heatsink plates, and the individual heatsink plates are bound to one another to be radially spread out, thereby enlarging the surface area of the heatsink and increasing its heat-dissipating efficiency. In the heatsink device, the heatsink is installed in an air duct, and cool air is supplied into the air duct by a fan, to thereby further increase the heat-dissipating efficiency. The binding force of the heatsink to a heat-generating source can be elastically maintained, which allows the heatsink to remain bound to the heat-generating source even after an external impact. In addition, by cutting out an upper portion of the heatsink plate, folding lines of the heatsink plate are shortened so that the heat-absorbing portions of the heatsink plates stacked upon one another can be tightly joined to form a heatsink by a reduced force.

  • Publication number: 20020043360
Abstract: A heatsink for dissipating heat from a heat-generating source such as an electronic component includes heatsink plates, wherein the individual heatsink plates are bound together at a binding portion to form a heat-absorbing portion for contacting a heat-dissipating surface of the electronic component, and portions of the heatsink plates opposite the heat-absorbing surface are separated from each other to collectively act as a heat-dissipating portion binding the heatsink plates together. To provide the separation between heat-dissipating portions of the heatsink plates, the heatsink includes spacers interposed between the binding portions of neighboring heatsink plates or the heatsink plates are spread out apart from each other by being bent at angles. The heatsink plates include fins spaced apart from each other at an interval. The binding element is preferably a rivet.

  • Patent number: 6325794
Abstract: A laser handpiece using an optical system such as a prism. The laser handpiece includes a laser fiber for irradiating laser beam output from a laser generating device, a first beam path changing portion for changing a traveling path of the laser beam output from the laser fiber, a second beam path changing portion for changing finally the traveling path of the laser beam output from the first beam path changing portion, a focus lens for focusing the laser beam output from the second beam path changing portion onto a point, and a main body for containing the laser fiber, the first beam path changing portion, the second beam path changing portion and the focus lens. Thus, an optical axis can be easily aligned and the traveling path of the laser beam can be easily changed within a small space, so the laser handpiece can be manufactured in a convenient shape for use.

  • Patent number: 6187676
Abstract: Insulated electrodes are formed by first forming on an integrated circuit substrate, an insulating layer, a conductive layer on the insulating layer, and a metal silicide layer on the conductive layer, and then forming a metal silicon nitride layer on the metal silicide layer. The metal silicon nitride layer acts as a silicon protrusion-preventing layer on the metal silicide layer that prevents formation of silicon protrusions from the metal silicide layer during subsequent processing. Reliability and/or yield problems that are caused by undercutting of an insulation layer in an insulated electrode may also be reduced by forming on an integrated circuit substrate, an insulating layer, conductive layer on the insulating layer and a metal silicide layer on the conductive layer.

  • Patent number: 6031311
Abstract: A brushless DC motor has a stator and a rotor. The stator has a stator core and excitation coils wound around the stator core. The rotor has a rotor core disposed at the inner space of the stator, and many permanent magnets inserted into the rotor core. The permanent magnets are symmetrically tilted with respect to a radial direction of the rotor core. The rotor core is formed with slots for cutting off a magnetic field between the permanent magnets adjacent to each other. The slots are parallel with an axis of the rotor core. The slots are formed between ends of the permanent magnets adjacent to each other at an outer part of the rotor core. The vortex of magnetic flux between the permanent magnets is prevented by the slots.

  • Patent number: 5909383
Abstract: A decimation filter is disclosed. A first adder receives a digital video x(n) signal as its two input signals, adds the two input signals, and outputs a signal 2x(n). A delay delays digital video signal x(n) by one period, and sends the delayed signal to a second adder. The second adder adds digital video signal x(n-1), delayed by the delay by one period, to digital video signal x(n), and outputs the added signal to a third adder. The third adder adds output signal 2x(n) of the first adder to output signal x(n)+x(n-1) of the second adder, and sends resultant signal 3x(n)+x(n-1) to a bit shifter. The bit shifter shifts signal 3x(n)+x(n-1) output from the third adder by two bits to the right, and divides the shifted signal by 2.sup.2, producing a signal y(n)={3 x(n)+x(n-1)}/4.

  • Patent number: 5678901
Abstract: An anti-skid brake system to supply brake fluid to first and second wheel brakes of an automobile. There are first and second control valves to receive brake fluid from a master cylinder, and first and second bypass valves to receive the bypass flow from the first and second control valves, respectively. A pump receives the bypass flow from the bypass valves in an anti-lock mode and recirculates the brake fluid in the system. There is a release valve that is responsive to fluid pressure levels of the first and second control valves to selectively connect the first and second control valves to the master cylinder, in a manner that with one of the control valves in its anti-lock mode and the other control valve in its normal operating mode, the pump delivers brake fluid toward the control valve which is isolated by the release valve.
