    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an ultrafine single-crystalline metal wire. The method continuously manufactures an ultrafine long single-crystalline wire by shaping a grown single-crystalline metal to have a circular or rectangular cross section and then by drawing the shape-processed single-crystalline metal using a drawing machine. Therefore, the method simplifies manufacturing procedures to reduce manufacturing costs and lowers electrical resistance of a produced metal wire to improve the quality of the produced metal wire. The method comprises: a first step of growing a single-crystalline metal ingot using a Czochralski or a Bridgman method; a second step of subjecting the single-crystalline metal ingot to a shaping process such that the single-crystalline metal ingot has a certain shape; and a third step of completing the manufacture of an ultrafine single-crystalline metal wire by drawing the shape-processed single-crystalline metal.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a metal single crystal in which a metal element is substituted, wherein a metal element A is doped with a metal element B different from the metal element A to form A1-XBX, and a mixed single crystal is formed therefrom by high temperature melting (wherein the metal element A is any one of silver, copper, platinum and gold; the metal element B is any one of silver, copper, platinum and gold; and 0.01?x?0.09). Therefore, a metal single crystal, which is a mixed crystal with more superior electrical properties than a conventional metal, is formed by doping a metal with excellent electrical properties with a metal element different from the metal, and growing the doped metal into a mixed crystal.

The method comprises the steps of: placing into a growth crucible at least one metal selected from the group consisting of gold, copper, silver, aluminum and nickel; heating and melting the metal placed in the growth crucible; growing a single crystal using metal crystal as a seed by Czochralski or Bridgman method; cutting the grown single crystal by electric discharge machining; and machining the cut single crystal and producing a wire or other articles such as a ring. In the method, the grown metal single crystal is cut into a disc-shaped piece by electric discharge machining. The piece is transformed into a single crystal wire or other articles by wire-cut electric discharge machining, and the single crystal wire can be used as a ring, a pendant, or a wire for high-quality cables for audio and video systems.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method of preparing a cross-condensed compound of an amino-acid derivative and (aminoalkyl)trialkoxysilane using microwave, including: irradiating and heating an amino-acid derivative and (aminoalkyl)trialkoxysilane in a microwave reactor to obtain a reaction product (step 1); and refining the reaction product obtained in the step 1 by removing an unreacted solid material from the reaction product and then leaving the reaction product at room temperature under vacuum to remove excess (aminoalkyl)trialkoxysilane therefrom (step 2). According to the method, since a cross-condensation reaction is performed using microwave, unlike a conventional condensation reaction, economic efficiency is increased due to no catalyst, short reaction time and no solvent. Further, the yield and selectivity of products is increased, and the condensation reaction can be environment-friendly performed because a solvent which can badly influence the environment may not be used.

The present invention also provides a method for preparing amino-functionalized mesoporous silica having hexagonal platelet morphology comprising a series of steps in sequence which are reactive gel preparation before subjected to the microwave, microwave heating for co-condensation reaction and crystallization, and solvent extraction for surfactant removal. The direct co-condensation approach with microwave heating and adoption of sodium metasilicate as silica source can give great advantage in the view of economy and environment.
