  • Patent number: 11064425
Abstract: A radio access network (RAN) intelligent control (RIC) platform can support various RAN control functions ranging from basic RAN control functions to enhanced RAN control functions. The RIC can support microservices that can be centralized at an edge cloud or distributed such that service aware and mobility state aware dual connectivity (DC) can be utilized. This service aware and mobility state aware DC can allow a mobile device to take advantage of DC features for the services requiring high bandwidth, while reducing the signaling and reducing power consumption of the mobile device. The service aware and mobility state aware DC microservices can also be hosted at central location to generate processing efficiencies.

  • Publication number: 20210209824
Abstract: Global position system tagging the movement of an object and extrapolating its direction and speed can be used for various services including emergency-based services. Location data can be computed using edge computing nodes. The extrapolation system can account for feedback from responding user devices and utilize the user device's location at the time of reporting to facilitate determining the direction, location, and/or speed of a moving object. This data can then be utilized to generate augmented reality displays for mobile devices and/or vehicles that utilize the system. The ability to calculate directional information with edge computing nodes can comprise an ability to add enriched data by predicting an object's whereabouts, route, and/or final destination.

  • Publication number: 20210209952
Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to intelligent drone traffic management via a radio access network (“RAN”). As disclosed herein, a RAN node, such as an eNodeB, can receive, from a drone, a flight configuration. The flight configuration can include a drone ID and a drone route. The RAN node can determine whether capacity is available in an airspace associated with the RAN node. In response to determining that capacity is available in the airspace associated with the RAN node, the RAN node can add the drone ID to a queue of drones awaiting use of the airspace associated with the RAN node. When the drone ID is next in the queue of drones awaiting use of the airspace associated with the RAN node, the RAN node can instruct the drone to fly through at least a portion of the airspace in accordance with the drone route.

  • Patent number: 11040774
Abstract: Systems and methods for authenticating a user include monitoring a monitored space for a condition to provide an interaction between a drone and an individual. In response to the condition to provide the interaction between the drone and the individual being satisfied, the drone may obtain a first set of sensor data corresponding to the individual. The first set of sensor data may indicate that the individual requires a service that requires authentication of the individual as a user of the service and that the individual is unable to provide a primary authentication response. The drone may then obtain a second set of sensor data corresponding to the individual unable to provide the primary authentication response. The drone authentication system then determines, based on the second set of sensor data and identity data that the individual corresponds to identity data of a user of the service and performs the service.

  • Publication number: 20210185498
Abstract: In a 6G network, microservices can be utilized in the absence of a core network. For example, after a mobile device has authenticated, through its carrier network, with a transport service layer, microservices can be allocated to the mobile device without having to be transmitted via the core network. Thus, removing the core network from the process can generate a direct line of microservices from the transport layer to the end-user. Furthermore, additional microservices and/or resources can be access through a microservices library. Consequently, packets can be securely transmitted be a wireless network facilitating sending packet profile data from one to many node devices in anticipation of the packet traversing the various node devices.

  • Patent number: 11037443
Abstract: This disclosure describes a solution to facilitate collaborative vehicle warnings via an edge node. An edge network can provide resources to the vehicles such that the vehicles can operate in a harmonic and safe manner. For example, a non-compliance of a vehicle captured by a video camera of another vehicle can be sent to the edge node for analysis. If other data related to non-compliances of the vehicle are received by the edge node, the edge node can label the vehicle as an unsafe vehicle. In response to the labeling the vehicle as an unsafe vehicle, the edge node can share this information with the vehicles that sent the video feed info and/or other vehicles that are nearby.

  • Patent number: 11038838
Abstract: An integrated GW (I-GW) can be utilized to facilitate communications with Internet of things (IoT) devices that operate without Internet protocol (IP) addresses, based on assigned preferences and/or priority. In one aspect, the I-GW can efficiently deliver existing services for various types of IoT devices (e.g., that support different non-IP protocols) and can create emerging applications across different vertical applications. Further, the I-GW can leverage mobility network elements to authenticate, prioritize connections, and/or enable data orchestration via underlying software defined network (SDN)-enabled capabilities and/or infrastructure services. By utilizing IoT devices that do not have IP stacks, a cost and/or size of the IoT devices can be decreased and battery life can be significantly extended.

  • Patent number: 11039315
Abstract: The provision of additional network resources (e.g., in the form of a dedicated super slice), can be requested on demand a per needed basis when higher capacity or performance is requested to facilitate the delivery of a service, when the delivery of the service cannot be met by a network slice associated with the service. A request for using a super slice can be sent to a management gateway device (mGW). The mGW can send the request for authorization to access the additional resources to a management device that manages the additional resources. Authorization can be granted for the additional resources to be used to facilitate or enable tasks that allow for continued delivery of that service.
