  • Publication number: 20220088589
Abstract: Described herein are methods, systems and apparatus for separating components of a biological sample; as well as methods of using compositions prepared by same. In some embodiments, the present invention provides a method for separating components of a biological sample, the method comprising: introducing a biological sample having a plurality of components to a tube comprising: a lumen; a proximal end; a distal end; an interior wall; and an exterior wall; applying a force to said tube for a time sufficient to separate said plurality of components; and agitating said tube at an angle of from about 5° to about 60°.

  • Patent number: 9660751
Abstract: A wireless communication system includes a processor that receives a downlink control information (DCI) associated with a transmission channel used for transmitting a RF signal and a control channel element index associated with the DCI. The processor determines a scrambling code based on the control channel element index for the DCI, scrambles the DCI using the scrambling code, generates a scrambled DCI, and modulates the scrambled. DCI to generate a modulated symbol. The processor uses look-up tables to determine a resource element group (REG) based on the control channel element index, map the modulated symbol to the REG, and generate a transmission frame.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 17, 2015
Date of Patent: May 23, 2017

  • Publication number: 20110158441
Abstract: A method is provided for managing signal distribution in a wireless speaker unit. The method includes monitoring a power level of the first wireless device; receiving, at the first wireless device, a first signal from the base unit if a power level of the first wireless device has not reached a threshold level; transmitting wirelessly a second signal, derived from the first signal, from said first wireless device to the second wireless device if a power level of the first wireless device has not reached the threshold level; receiving, at the second wireless device, the first signal from the base unit if the power level of the first wireless device reaches the threshold level; and transmitting wirelessly a third signal, derived from the first signal, from the second wireless device to the first wireless device if the power level of the first wireless device reaches the threshold level.

  • Patent number: 6753789
Abstract: A remote control device is provided with a rotatably mounted door member. The device has a main body with two, three, or more sides adapted for having selection buttons coupled therewith. The door member covers the selection buttons for the sides not in use so that the user can grasp the device or set the device on a surface without inadvertent actuation of the selection buttons. The remote control device also has a locking mechanism for preventing access to certain selection buttons on certain side surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6588869
Abstract: A printer includes a housing which has a user access surface. Attached to the housing is a printer which includes a paper path. The printer also includes a paper input tray and a paper output tray. Both the paper trays are accessible from the user access surface. The user access surface also has an access panel within the user access surface. The paper path is positioned within the housing so that it is accessible through the access panel. The printer cartridges which contain the material used to make an image on the paper, such as a toner cartridge for use with a laser printer or one or more ink wells for use with an ink jet printer, are also positioned within the housing of the printer so as to be near the user access surface. The printer cartridges are accessible through the access panel. Optionally, the printer cartridges could also be accessed through a special panel in the user access surface.

  • Patent number: 6317061
Abstract: A detachable keyboard provides options to a computer user between a complete keyboard and a partial keyboard. The detachable keyboard comprises two sections, a docking station having a set of functions and a partial keyboard having a different set of functions. The partial keyboard is removed from the docking station when the partial keyboard is desired. If the complete keyboard is desired, then the partial keyboard section is mated with the docking station to provide a user both sets of functions. The detachable keyboard and the partial keyboard section are operable in either a wireless or wired configuration with each other and a computer system.
