  • Publication number: 20150047209
Abstract: A constraint for a pair of scissors is disclosed. The scissors comprise a first and second blade which are arranged to pivot between an open configuration in which the first and second blades are angularly separated about a pivot disposed intermediate a proximal and distal end of the blades, to define a mouth for receiving material to be cut, and a closed configuration in which the first and second blades are substantially aligned to close the mouth. The constraint comprises means arranged to limit the reconfiguration of the blades between the open and closed configurations to provide for a better control of the blades and ensure a smooth cut of the material during use.
