Abstract: Systems and methods for efficient lossless compression of captured raw image information are presented. A method can comprise: receiving raw image data from an image capture device, segregating the pixel data into a base layer portion and an enhanced layer portion, reconfiguring the base layer portion expressed in the first color space values from a raw capture format into a pseudo second color space compression mechanism compatible format, and compressing the reconfigured base layer portion of first color space values. The raw image data can include pixel data are expressed in first color space values. The segregation can be based upon various factors, including a compression benefits analysis of a boundary location between the base layer portion and enhanced layer portion. The reconfiguring the base layer portion can include separating the base layer portion based upon multiple components within the raw data; and forming base layer video frames from the multiple components.

  • Patent number: 11282285
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide approaches for enabling visual location of a real-world object. Specifically, an object location service is initiated in a service orchestration layer of a 5G telecom network in response to a request from a user corresponding to the real-world object. This object location service collects a stream of three-dimensional location coordinates from both the user's device and the real-world object's device. Based on these sets of sets of location coordinates, the object location service calculates a continuously updated three-dimensional vector from the user to the real-world object. The object location service uses this continuously updated three-dimensional vector to apply an augmented reality indicator that is continuously updated in real-time to the real-world object on a display of the UE device corresponding to the user.

  • Publication number: 20220083280
Abstract: Read Quality of Service (rQoS) in the solid state drive is improved by reducing latency for host random read workloads. Host read operations for random read workloads are prioritized in the solid state drive over program operations for garbage collection to reduce latency for random read workloads. The program time (tProg) and other associated latencies such as program-suspend-resume overhead, and firmware process overhead to dispatch the program are minimized by minimizing the number of program commands used for garbage collection while the solid state drive is performing read operations for a random read workload for a host read operation, allowing the solid state drive to prioritize host read operations for random read workloads while ensuring that there is no impact to the amount of written data that is on the solid state drive.

  • Patent number: 11277462
Abstract: A 5G network conference call initiation is detected. Information associated with the conference call includes a topic, an agenda, participants, and goals, is received. The respective participants of the conference call are identified, based on a dedicate traffic channel (DTCH) of the respective participants of the conference call. An allocation threshold of conference call contribution associated with the respective participants is determined, based on the information received. Contributions of respective participants are calculated during the conference call based on a list of DTCHs of the respective participants. The contributions of the respective participants are compared to the allocation threshold and responsive to determining that the contributions of a first participant of the respective participants of the conference call exceed the allocation threshold, an action mitigating the excessive contribution in the conference call is performed.

  • Publication number: 20220068116
Abstract: In an approach to 5G mobile device based regional patrolling over highways, a fifth generation (5G) mobile ad-hoc network is enabled based on data received from checkpoints. A 5G traffic channel is connected between the 5G mobile ad-hoc network and a virtual network function (VNF). Responsive to detecting that a vehicle containing a 5G UE device is in the ad-hoc network, a 5G traffic channel is connected between the UE device in the vehicle and the VNF. • Publication number: 20220066822
Abstract: In an approach to storage level load balancing, the load level of a storage system is monitored, where the load level is a utilization percentage of a plurality of CPU cores in the storage system. An overload condition is detected based on the utilization percentage of one or more CPU cores exceeding a threshold, where the overload condition is caused by an overlap of one or more I/O queues from multiple host computers accessing a single CPU core. Responsive to detecting the overload condition, a new I/O queue is selected on a second CPU core, where the second CPU core has a utilization percentage less than a second threshold. A recommendation is sent to a host computer, where the recommendation is to move I/O traffic from the first CPU core to the new I/O queue on the second CPU core to rebalance the load level of the storage system.
