  • Patent number: 9095354
Abstract: A medical instrument serves for cutting off tissue and cartilage from a body. It comprises an outer shaft having at least a first window in a distal end area thereof. A hollow inner shaft is received within the outer shaft and can be rotated about a longitudinal axis of the outer shaft. The hollow inner shaft has at least one opening cooperating with the at least one window of the outer shaft in a cutting action when turning the inner hollow shaft. A further window is provided in the distal end area of the outer shaft which further window is surrounded by a curette having a separating edge. Tissue and cartilage separated by the curette can be cut into small pieces by the cutting edges of the rotatable inner shaft and then be sucked in through an opening of the inner hollow shaft.

  • Patent number: 9089349
Abstract: A device for preparing multiple channels in a bone comprises a handle, a single guiding sleeve mounted removable at said handle and an arm projected from said handle. Said single guiding sleeve comprises a central first guiding channel for receiving a first aiming wire, a second guiding channel for receiving a further aiming wire, said channels have parallel axes. At least one cannulation is provided, a central longitudinal axis thereof runs at a distance and parallel to the guiding channels. Said at least one cannulation being arranged offset in a circumferential direction to said second channel. An aiming wire introduced in said second channel can be replaced into a cannulation by pulling off the guiding sleeve turning it about the first aiming wire and reinserting the turned guiding sleeve into said handle.

  • Patent number: 9023056
Abstract: An apparatus for targeting and forming drill channels in the tibia in the area of a knee joint during reconstruction of an anterior cruciate ligament, having a handle, which includes a drill sleeve for configuring a first target point on the tibia and an arm extending beyond the distal end of the drill sleeve for determining a second target point on the tibial plateau. To provide an apparatus for targeting and forming drill channels in the tibia that is adaptable to the patient's individual anatomical idiosyncrasies, it is proposed that at least one portion of the arm should be configured as elastically reshapable.

  • Patent number: 9023049
Abstract: A medical puncturing serves for penetrating into a bone or a cartilage. It has a shaft and a tool carrier connected with its proximal end to a distal end of the shaft. The tool carrier has a puncturing tool being a punch or a multi-fracture chisel. The tool carrier is connected at its proximal end via a freely articulated joint to the distal end of said shaft. A stop limits a laterally pivoting movement of said tool carrier to a maximum angle of 45°.

  • Patent number: 9005212
Abstract: A device serves for guiding a drilling tool for forming a second bore in a bone, which second bore intersects an already existing first bore. A frame, having a first end and a second end has a rod-shaped body arranged at its first end. Said rod-shaped body is designed to be inserted into said already existing first bore. A guide sleeve is arranged at said second end of said frame and has a longitudinal axis intersecting said rod-shaped body in an area of its distal end. A fixing device is provided at said guide sleeve, said fixing device protrudes distally from said guide sleeve, said protruding fixing device can be placed on a body of a patient to be treated in an area where said second bore is to be formed.
