  • Patent number: 7187746
Abstract: Projection data are obtained by using a method for imaging by rotating the first imaging system having an X-ray generating unit 1a and the second imaging system having an X-ray generating unit 1b. The obtained projection data are subjected to a reconstruction process to generate X-ray image data. In this case, a relative angle ?0 formed between the imaging systems is setup according to a palmic period T0 of a subject and a rotation velocity Vr of the imaging systems. Thus, the projection data from more directions at a predetermined palmic time-phase are collected without overlapping.

  • Publication number: 20060082598
Abstract: In a storing unit of a medical image processing apparatus, first 3D image corresponding to a first period and second 3D image data corresponding to a second period are stored. The first 3D image data corresponds to a period before contrast agent injection operation and/or therapeutic operation. The second 3D image data corresponds to a period after the contrast agent injection operation and/or therapeutic operation. A 3D subtracting unit subtracts the first 3D image data from the second 3D image data. In 3D subtraction image data, a portion having undergone a change due to contrast agent injection operation and/or therapeutic operation is emphasized. A pseudo 3D image data generating unit generates pseudo 3D image data on the basis of 3D subtraction image data. A displaying unit displays the pseudo 3D image data.

  • Patent number: 6990229
Abstract: A CT device, an MRI device, an ultrasonic device, or an X-ray device for picturing a 3-D image are connected to a network. A 3-D image is stored in an image database via the network. A first image processing device or a second image processing device obtains a 3-D image from the respective devices via the network. The image processing device can display a plurality of 3-D images concurrently with conditions made uniform with regard to direction of observation, enlargement ratio, scale, etc. Also, the device can display a combined image obtained by combining a plurality of 3-D images. The combined image can be displayed so that overlapping areas and non-overlapping areas are in different colors. In addition, the device can display medical information of use for a diagnosis or an examination together with the plurality of 3-D images displayed with conditions made uniform.

  • Patent number: 6845142
Abstract: An image processing apparatus is provided for processing a plurality of sets of projection data acquired by radiating an X-ray onto an object in a multitude of directions. The apparatus has a correcting unit and a reconstructing unit. The correcting unit corrects the projection data with regard to beam hardening of the projection data. The beam hardening is caused due to a contrast agent injected into the object. For example, the correcting unit includes a correction table defining a correcting value to a change in densities of a region in which the contrast agent is present and corrects the projection data on the basis of the correcting value obtained from the correction table. The reconstructing unit reconstructs the corrected projection data into an image of the object. Thus, artifacts due to beam hardening resultant from use of the contrast agent can be avoided.
