  • Publication number: 20030185426
Abstract: A CT device, an MRI device, an ultrasonic device, or an X-ray device for picturing a 3-D image are connected to a network. A 3-D image is stored in an image database via the network. A first image processing device or a second image processing device obtains a 3-D image from the respective devices via the network. The image processing device can display a plurality of 3-D images concurrently with conditions made uniform with regard to direction of observation, enlargement ratio, scale, etc. Also, the device can display a combined image obtained by combining a plurality of 3-D images. The combined image can be displayed so that overlapping areas and non-overlapping areas are in different colors. In addition, the device can display medical information of use for a diagnosis or an examination together with the plurality of 3-D images displayed with conditions made uniform.

  • Publication number: 20030109779
Abstract: In a storing unit of a medical image processing apparatus, first 3D image corresponding to a first period and second 3D image data corresponding to a second period are stored. The first 3D image data corresponds to a period before contrast agent injection operation and/or therapeutic operation. The second 3D image data corresponds to a period after the contrast agent injection operation and/or therapeutic operation. A 3D subtracting unit subtracts the first 3D image data from the second 3D image data. In 3D subtraction image data, a portion having undergone a change due to contrast agent injection operation and/or therapeutic operation is emphasized. A pseudo 3D image data generating unit generates pseudo 3D image data on the basis of 3D subtraction image data. A displaying unit displays the pseudo 3D image data.

  • Publication number: 20030031299
Abstract: An image processing apparatus is provided for processing a plurality of sets of projection data acquired by radiating an X-ray onto an object in a multitude of directions. The apparatus has a correcting unit and a reconstructing unit. The correcting unit corrects the projection data with regard to beam hardening of the projection data. The beam hardening is caused due to a contrast agent injected into the object. For example, the correcting unit includes a correction table defining a correcting value to a change in densities of a region in which the contrast agent is present and corrects the projection data on the basis of the correcting value obtained from the correction table. The reconstructing unit reconstructs the corrected projection data into an image of the object. Thus, artifacts due to beam hardening resultant from use of the contrast agent can be avoided.

  • Publication number: 20020154801
Abstract: An image processor and X-ray diagnostic apparatus designate areas of interest, by using an input unit, on at least two of a plurality of still images forming a moving image when continuously displayed, estimate corresponding areas on the remaining images which correspond to the areas of interest by geometrical calculation or the like by using a position detecting section, shift the respective areas of interest and the respective corresponding areas to the image centers of the respective images by using an AFFINE transformation section, and perform continuous display by using the respective images after the shift processing.

  • Publication number: 20020090058
Abstract: An X-ray diagnosis apparatus includes an X-ray tube, an imaging system which detects X-rays emitted from the X-ray tube and transmitted through an object to be examined and generates X-ray image data, an arm which supports the X-ray tube and the imaging system, an arm support mechanism which rotatably and movably supports the arm, and a bed which holds the object between the X-ray tube and the imaging system. This X-ray diagnosis apparatus further includes a three-dimensional image generating unit which generates three-dimensional image data from volume data concerning the object, a display unit which displays the three-dimensional image data, an input device which designates an interest point on the displayed three-dimensional image data, and a controller which controls at least one of the arm support mechanism and the bed, such that the center of the X-ray image data generated by the imaging system is positioned on a portion of the object which substantially corresponds to the designated interest point.

  • Publication number: 20020071521
Abstract: An examination program is selected based on an input of an examination method or a region to be inspected on the side of an diagnostic X-ray system, and contrast conditions suitable for contrast examination which is realized by the selected examination protocol are transmitted to a contrast medium injector through a network or the like. The contrast medium injector receives the transmitted contrast conditions and performs control regarding contrast medium dosage based on the contrast conditions.
