    Abstract: A vehicle control system configured to carry out an energy saving control is provided. The vehicle control system is applied to a vehicle having an engine, a torque converter, a transmission and a clutch device selectively connecting a turbine runner to the transmission. The vehicle control system executes the energy saving control by controlling both an operating condition of the engine and an engagement condition of the clutch device or only the engagement condition of the clutch device. The vehicle control system comprises a clutch control means configured to increase the torque transmitting capacity of the clutch device using an increasing amount of a speed of the turbine runner as a target value, when bringing the clutch device into engagement being in disengagement during execution of the energy saving control.

    Abstract: A magnetic sensor device includes magnetic detection elements arrayed along a line intersecting the relative movement direction of a medium, and a magnet applying a bias magnetic field to the magnetic detection elements with a line of magnetic force in the constant direction. The magnetic sensor device detects a magnetic field change when a medium with a magnetic pattern passes through the bias magnetic field as an electric signal through the magnetic detection elements and reads the magnetic pattern of the medium. A plurality of reading switches is connected to the respective magnetic detection elements and an output line common to the magnetic detection elements. The magnetic sensor device includes a shift register closing the reading switches sequentially one by one to transfer the outputs from the magnetic detection elements sequentially one by one to the output line.

An inclined surface is formed in each of the first and second teeth. A projecting part is formed on the knob to project toward the rotor. In response to a depression of the knob, the projecting part pushes the inclined surface of the second teeth to rotate the rotor and, in response to a return of the knob, pushes the inclined surface of the first teeth to rotate the rotor.

An interpolation coefficient calculation unit (3A) obtains interpolation coefficients (D3A) having values that increase with increasing strength of correlation of the pixels in the plurality of pixels in the low-resolution image with the pixel of interest, and outputs the interpolation coefficients to the interpolation computation unit (3B). Angles of edges and shapes of edges are not classified into any predetermined patterns; therefore, it is possible to perform suitable interpolation computations regardless of edge shape.
