  • Patent number: 8150198
Abstract: An image processing apparatus receives n-bit image data, carries out an ?-bit bit extension, and outputs (n+?)-bit image data, where n and ? are positive integers. The apparatus also performs an epsilon filtering operation that uses the additional gray levels provided by the bit extension to smooth out false edges caused by the bit extension without smoothing out real edges. The output image preserves both the smoothness of regions of gradual change and the sharpness of abrupt changes in the input image.

  • Publication number: 20120035828
Abstract: A drive control device for a vehicle is preferably used for controlling an internal combustion engine and/or a transmission, for example. A total fuel consumption amount calculating unit calculates total fuel consumption amount by integrating fuel consumption when the vehicle travels a unit distance at a predetermined vehicle speed and a predetermined acceleration, with respect to a time axis in accordance with a target distance. A traveling pattern calculating unit calculates a traveling pattern indicating a relationship between a vehicle speed and an acceleration when the vehicle travels the target distance, based on the total fuel consumption amount. By performing the control based on the calculated traveling pattern, it is possible to optimize the total fuel consumption amount. Therefore, it becomes possible to improve the actual fuel consumption.

  • Publication number: 20110298973
Abstract: To interpolate a frame between the current frame and a first delayed frame preceding the current frame, an image processing device generates test interpolation data for the first delayed frame from data in point-symmetric positions in the current frame and in a second delayed frame preceding the first delayed frame. Motion vectors pointing from the first delayed frame to the current frame are found by evaluating different test interpolation data against the actual data of the first delayed frame. These motion vectors are converted to pairs of motion vectors pointing from the first delayed frame and the current frame to the interpolated frame, and these pairs of motion vectors are used to generate accurate data for the interpolated frame from the data of the first delayed frame and the current frame.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus 100 includes a parallax calculating unit 1. The parallax calculating unit 1 receives input of a pair of image input data Da1 and Db1 forming a three-dimensional video, calculates parallax amounts of respective regions obtained by dividing the pair of image input data Da1 and Db1 into a plurality of regions, and outputs the parallax amounts as parallax data T1 of the respective regions. The parallax calculating unit 1 includes a correlation calculating unit 10, a high-correlation-region extracting unit 11, a denseness detecting unit 12, and a parallax selecting unit 13. The correlation calculating unit 10 outputs correlation data T10 and pre-selection parallax data T13 of the respective regions. The high-correlation-region extracting unit 11 determines a level of correlation among the correlation data T10 of the regions and outputs high-correlation region data T11.

  • Patent number: 7968808
Abstract: A compound operation input device of the invention includes: a body; a switch being disposed in the body and including a contact in an arcuate cross-sectional shape; and a lever. The lever includes: a basal portion disposed on a vertex of the contact; and an operating portion being swingable in swing directions and being depressible toward the switch from a predetermined position on a swing path. The body includes an arcuate abutting portion. The lever has a protrusion being disposed above the abutting portion. The abutting portion has a recess at a position thereof corresponding to the predetermined position. When the lever makes a depressing movement from a position other than the predetermined position, the protrusion abuts against the abutting portion. When the lever makes a depressing movement from the predetermined position, the protrusion is received in the recess such that the basal portion presses the vertex of the contact.
