  • Publication number: 20240133317
Abstract: A sensor includes a mount arranged along a sensor axis, an airfoil body fixed to the mount and having a first face and second face extending along the sensor axis, a heater element, and a temperature probe. The heater element and the temperature probe are positioned within the airfoil body and extend axially along the airfoil body. The airfoil body defines within its interior a pressure channel having an inlet segment extending between the heater element and the first face of the airfoil body to prevent ice formation and/or melt ice entrained within air traversing the pressure channel. Gas turbine engines, methods of removing ice or preventing ice formation, and methods of making sensors are also described.

  • Publication number: 20240113156
Abstract: A passive circuit component includes an edge having a low line edge roughness (LER). A method for manufacturing the passive circuit component includes a self-aligned double patterning (SADP) etch process using a tri-layer process flow. The tri-layer process flow includes use of an underlayer, hard mask, and photoresist. The passive circuit component made by this method achieves improved mismatch between like components due to the low LER.

Abstract: A replacement filter cartridge for a faucet mounted water filter includes a hollow filter body having an open upper portion having an upper annular edge and partially enclosed bottom portion with a fluid egress orifice therein. The upper annular edge includes a series of castellations. A filter element is disposed within the hollow filter body, and a filter element cover is configured to cover and secure the filter element, said filter element cover includes depressions in an outer peripheral edge. The depressions in the outer peripheral edge form openings between the depressions and an inner peripheral surface of the filter body, such that water can flow into the openings, through the filter element, and out of the filter housing through the fluid egress orifice.

  • Publication number: 20230277881
Abstract: Aerial fire-fighting bucket systems are disclosed for liquid cargo pickup, transport, and discharge. Bucket systems include a valve system disposed in the lower structure and a computer-controlled hydraulic motor/pump and accumulator configured to maintain hydraulic pressure, and controls to release liquid cargo from the bucket by a hydraulically activated valve assembly. Hydraulic accumulator charging operates independently of activation of cargo pickup, transport, and discharge cycles. Hydraulic accumulator sizing provides for a minimum of actuations of extension and retraction of the piston within a short-time interval reducing weight and electrical supply burdens on the aircraft.
