Patent number: 7100207Abstract: A method for providing a user with access to a plurality of computer resources, at least some of which utilize distinct protocols for receiving security information and for providing access to outside systems based on received security information. A request is received from the user identifying one of the plurality of computer resources. From a set of previously stored records each of which identifies one of the plurality of computer resources and contains security information for allowing access to the computer resource identified in the record, one of the records of the set is selected whose identification of one of the plurality of computer resources best matches the request's identification of one of the plurality of computer resources. The security information in the selected record is used to provide access to the computer resource identified in the request according to the distinct protocol utilized by that resource.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2001Date of Patent: August 29, 2006Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: Scott Howard Prager

Publication number: 20060152318Abstract: A high-frequency transformer. The transformer comprises a high-voltage winding. A first bus bar is positioned proximate the high voltage winding and extends to a first portion of a plurality of power switching devices. The first bus bar is electrically coupled to the first portion of the power switching devices. A second bus bar is positioned proximate the high voltage winding and extends to a second portion of the power switching devices. The second bus bar is electrically coupled to both the high voltage winding and the second portion of the power switching devices. A third bus bar extends between the first and second bus bars and is electrically coupled to the first bus bar, second bus bar, and the high voltage winding. The second and third bus bars form a low voltage winding that electrically cooperates with the high voltage winding to form the high-frequency transformer.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 11, 2006Publication date: July 13, 2006Inventors: Alexander Isurin, Scott Howard, Alexander Cook

Publication number: 20060015028Abstract: A system for detecting and analyzing electrical activity in the anatomy of an organism underlying an electrode array provides signals corresponding to electrical activity adjacent each electrode. Such signals are correlated to the underlying anatomy of the organism and representative outputs presented through various types of output devices. Such outputs may include variations in coloration or other qualities in correspondence with representations of underlying anatomical structures. The system includes novel electrode structures (200, 224, and 284) and methods for producing and attaching electrode arrays (240 and 280) to the organism. The exemplary form of the invention is used in connection with the diagnosis of muscle activity in the lower lumbar regions of humans. Levels of muscle activity detected are analyzed by correlation with the muscular structures underlying the electrode array. Forms of the invention may be used in other applications.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2005Publication date: January 19, 2006Applicant: Advanced Imaging Systems, Inc.Inventors: Mark Finneran, Kathryn Alexander, B. Patent number: 6934706Abstract: An enterprise data integration product which facilitates access to one or more external or remote databases so as to provide integration from a central application. The product enables a user to pre-populate a credential database which stores the user's security credentials for each of the remote databases to which access is desired. When the user requests access to a remote database, the product automatically retrieves the user's security credentials for that database and establishes a connection thereto based on the retrieval credentials. In this manner, the product provides seamless access to the remote database while maintaining the user's pre-ordained access restriction thereto.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2002Date of Patent: August 23, 2005Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Patrick Charles Mancuso, Scott Howard Prager

Patent number: 6640174Abstract: A restraint and fuel pump cutoff control system is disclosed wherein a restraint control module controls the restraint system such as an air bag deployment system and a fuel system power supply based upon data inputs from sensors positioned at various locations on the vehicle. When data received from the sensors indicates that a collision event has occurred and has reached the predetermined level of severity, power to the fuel system is cut off to prevent undesired pumping of fuel. If power is interrupted during a collision event, the fuel system will be cut off and remain cut off until reset by turning the ignition switch to off and then to run/start indicating a clean shutdown. The restraint control module utilizes collision data profiles to distinguish between power shutdowns occurring during a collision event and power shutdowns occurring when only background data is being received from the sensors.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2001Date of Patent: October 28, 2003Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Steven Yellin Schondorf, Scott Howard Gaboury, Troy Otis Cooprider, Rene A. Patent number: 6618261Abstract: A sensor mount assembly including a housing, fastener and a lever mechanism. The housing contains a sensor having two electrical leads and includes an integral flange adapted to receive a fastener. The fastener includes a body and a head. The body is received in the flange to secure the housing to a mount. The lever mechanism is proximate the flange and includes a contact block and a conductor. The contact block is acted upon by the fastener head to move the lever mechanism and, hence the conductor, between a first position and a second position. The first position corresponds to an unmounted sensor and creates a short circuit condition between the two electrical leads. The second position corresponds to a properly mounted sensor and creates an open circuit between the two electrical leads such that the electrical circuit path of the overall system includes the sensor within the housing.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2002Date of Patent: September 9, 2003Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Scott Howard Gaboury, Steven Yellin Schondorf, David James Tippy, Paul Kevin Kula, Rene A.
