  • Publication number: 20080307067
Abstract: This description relates to methods and systems for providing a connection from a first system to another system using a server. In one embodiment, a method includes establishing at a first data processing system (DPS) a connection with a server providing a service to both the first DPS and a second DPS, the server being operatively coupled to the first DPS and the second DPS, and the server having received from the second DPS an address information; receiving from the server the address information of the second DPS; and establishing at the first DPS a connection, using the address information from the server, with the second DPS to receive a sharing service from the second DPS.

  • Publication number: 20080083066
Abstract: The Invention is a blanket that may be converted into a tote bag for transporting the blanket and other objects within the tote bag. A pouch portion has a periphery that is attached to the blanket, defining a pouch. The pouch has a first and a second position. In the first position, the pouch and the blanket are generally flat and the tote bag handle is concealed within the pouch. In the second position, the pouch is reversed to form the tote bag with the inside surfaces of the pouch forming the outside surfaces of the tote bag.

  • Publication number: 20020070744
Abstract: Input and output test multiplexers are added to an input/output pad's architecture to switch the pad between a test mode and the normal operating mode. One input multiplexers has inputs coupled to a test input signal and the I/O pad input signal. Another input multiplexer has inputs coupled to an input enable signal and a test input enable signal. An input mode signal is used to switch among these inputs, depending on the mode of the integrated circuit. One output multiplexer has input coupled to a test output signal and an output signal from the integrated circuit core logic function. Another output multiplexer has inputs coupled to an output enable signal and a test output enable signal. An output mode signal is used to switch among these output signals, depending on the mode of the integrated circuit.

  • Patent number: 5671008
Abstract: A portable and economical telecine machine for rapidly converting images recorded on motion picture film to electronically available and manipulable video signals with extremely high frame accuracy and temporal correspondence. On a commercially-available flatbed editing table, motion picture film passes through a light-tight enclosure surrounding a strobe, the film, a mirror, and a video camera. When the film is centered between the strobe and the camera, the strobe flashes to optically transmit the film image to the video camera. The film is then advanced exactly one single film frame to record the next image. In this way, film images are recorded frame by frame by a video camera, converting the film images into video signals. Passage of the film is monitored by a film sprocket coupled to a bi-phase encoder. When the image is optically transmitted to the camera, it is recorded in the two next available video fields by the video camera.

  • Patent number: 5598119
Abstract: A load adaptive pad driver for integrated circuits provides a substantially constant speed output at the pad regardless of the load connected to the pad. A reference slope signal, based on variables such as fabrication process, and operational voltage and temperature ranges and biased to give a substantially flat response, is compared to the signal output of a resistive-based pad driver circuit. When a transition between output signal levels provided by the pad driver circuit is slower than the reference signal slope, an auxiliary driver circuit is used to compensate. Electromagnetic interference is also reduced via said load adaptive pad driver.

  • Patent number: 5469076
Abstract: A static current testing method for single-ended or differential logic circuits having a static bias current in normal operation. The static current testing method includes switching a first bias node between a first bias voltage, in a normal operational mode, and a first shut-off voltage, in a first static current testing phase, and measuring the current supplied to the logic circuit in the testing phase. For differential circuits, the static current testing method further includes an additional step of switching a second bias node between the second bias voltage in the normal operational mode and the second shut-off voltage in a second static current testing phase. A bias switching means is used to switch between the normal bias voltage and the testing voltage. A cell switching means is coupled to a diode-connected transistor for forcing the circuit output low and for isolating the diode-connected transistor from the output.

  • Patent number: 5391940
Abstract: A first electronic device, such as a computer, is connected to a second electronic device, such as a printer, over a communication bus. The second electronic device has device specific integrated circuitry for performing the functions of the device, and also has pad driver circuitry. The pad driver circuitry is connected between the communication bus and the device specific integrated circuitry. The first electronic device is powered by a first voltage source, such as AC power through an on/off switch. The second electronic device is powered by a second voltage source, such as AC power through a different on/off switch. In addition to being powered by the second voltage source, the pad driver circuitry is also powered by a third voltage source, isolated from the second voltage source.
