  • Patent number: 10649702
Abstract: A toner container installable in an image forming device having a controller according to one example embodiment includes a housing having a reservoir for storing toner. A chip is positioned on the housing and configured to, after sending a first busy response to the controller of the image forming device, receive a second write command from the controller of the image forming device that is abbreviated relative to a first write command received from the controller of the image forming device and that requests the chip to send a response to the first write command. The chip is further configured to send a response to the first write command to the controller of the image forming device if upon receiving a read command corresponding to the second write command the chip has completed processing the first write command.

A chip is positioned on the housing and configured to receive a first write command from the controller of the image forming device. The chip is further configured to determine whether a transmission cycle bit of the first write command matches a transmission cycle bit of a second write command received by the chip from the controller of the image forming device previous to the first write command. The chip is further configured to resend to the controller of the image forming device a response to the second write command if the transmission cycle bit of the first write command matches the transmission cycle bit of the second write command.

  • Patent number: 10572685
Abstract: Various examples described herein are directed to systems and methods for securing data. A security system may receive a first record comprising a plurality of record fields, where the plurality of record fields includes a first record field and the first record field includes a first record field data. The security system may access a source setup record corresponding to the first record from a source setup table and determine that the source setup record comprises data referencing the first record field. The security system may access first token data corresponding to the first record field data and replace the first record field data at the first record field with the first token data. The security system may store the first token data at a token table and writing the first token data to the first record field to replace the first record field data.

  • Patent number: 10542172
Abstract: A supply item has toner for use in an imaging device. A chip has memory storing quanta indicating allowed usage of the supply item over its lifetime and a multiplier correlating the quanta to toner mass. The imaging device requires quanta to conduct imaging operations and loads the quanta and multiplier by way of a certificate stored in the memory. The imaging device retrieves quanta from the chip over time and both devices keep tally. Initialization between the supply item and imaging device includes providing encrypted and unencrypted instances of firmware versions and certificates from the supply item that the imaging device can compare for security. Alternatively, the supply item defines a fuser assembly, imaging unit, intermediate transfer member, or other component installed for use in the imaging device.

  • Publication number: 20200001194
Abstract: A wheel well system and method for a model vehicle are provided. The wheel well system may include a wheel well apparatus having a wheel well configured to fit within a wheel well recess of a model vehicle body. The wheel well comprising body attachment bores, support member bores. The wheel well apparatus may include a support member configured to couple to the wheel well. The wheel well system may also have two wheel wells configured to fit within wheel well recesses and a support member attached to the two wheel wells. The two wheel wells are configured to fixedly couple to the model vehicle body via the body attachment bores. The method may include providing a wheel well fixedly coupled to a support member and fixedly coupling the wheel well to a model vehicle body.

  • Publication number: 20190389304
Abstract: A portal gear and a method to implement a portal gear for a model vehicle are provided. The portal gear may include a drive shaft attached to an input gear and an axle attached to an output gear. The portal gear may further include a housing to vertically contain the input gear and the output gear. Wherein the drive shaft transfers a rotational torque from an upper location to a lower location via a gear reduction resulting from the input gear rotating the output gear.
