  • Patent number: 12553645
Abstract: A geothermal heat pump system includes a main heat exchanger, a borehole that extends in a vertical direction through an aquifer, a ground loop and a pump. The main heat exchanger is configured to exchange heat between a ground loop flow and a heat distribution system. The ground loop includes a groundwater heat exchanger, an input pipe and an output pipe. The groundwater heat exchanger is contained within the borehole and includes heat exchange piping. The input pipe delivers the ground loop flow from the main heat exchanger to the heat exchange piping. The output pipe delivers the ground loop flow from the heat exchange piping to the main heat exchanger. The pump drives a groundwater flow in a horizontal direction that is transverse to the vertical direction across the heat exchange piping. Heat exchange occurs between the ground loop flow and the groundwater flow.

  • Patent number: 11487875
Abstract: A computer program product, a computer-implemented method, and a computer system include a processor(s) that obtains side channel emanations from a device. The processor(s) analyzes the side channel emanations to identify distinct emanation patterns and timing characteristics, wherein the timing characteristics are associated with transitions between the distinct emanation patterns. The processor(s) generates a non-deterministic finite automaton (NFA) by correlating the distinct emanation patterns with states of the device, where the NFA captures states and state transitions of the device. The processor(s) identifies an anomaly in the device, based on deviation in emanations from the device.

  • Patent number: 11285059
Abstract: Personal transportation aid that can be converted easily between a wheelchair and a walker. The device has handles that can be pushed forward to switch from wheelchair mode to walker mode. Pushing the handles forward causes the seat bottom of the wheelchair to flip up, opening a space where the user can stand to use the walker; the front wheels of the wheelchair are also pushed forward. Pulling the handles backwards returns the device to its wheelchair configuration, with the seat bottom flipped down and the front wheels moved backwards. Simple mechanical linkages may be used to flip the seat bottom up and down, and to push the front wheels forward and backwards; therefore the device does not require a power source or actuators.

  • Publication number: 20220018577
Abstract: A geothermal heat pump system includes a main heat exchanger, a borehole that penetrates an aquifer, and a ground loop. The main heat exchanger is configured to exchange heat between a ground loop flow and a heat distribution system. The ground loop includes a first and second groundwater heat exchangers, an input pipe and an output pipe. The groundwater heat exchangers are respectively contained in first and second zones within the borehole and are exposed to a groundwater flow within the aquifer. The input pipe is configured to deliver the ground loop flow from the main heat exchanger to the groundwater heat exchangers. The output pipe is configured to deliver the ground loop flow from the groundwater heat exchangers to the main heat exchanger. Heat exchange occurs between the ground loop flow within the groundwater heat exchangers and the groundwater flow.

  • Publication number: 20200121965
Abstract: A modular fluid jet attack system provides a system and method for both the containment of spreading flames and extinguishing a fire. A fluid jet system delivers high pressure fluids and abrasive materials to cut a hole in a wall. After the hole is cut, a firefighter can selectively stop the flow of abrasive material to provide fluid only for fire suppression using small droplets on the order of 150 microns. The fluid jet system can employ a gas system to tactically deliver a gaseous agent to aid in a military or law enforcement operation, or to deliver a gaseous agent for use in a firefighting operation, such as an electrical fire. Portions of the fluid jet system, the gas system and the attack system can be mounted in or on a vehicle, trolley, or case for portability.
