  • Publication number: 20240242006
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for reducing artifacts in networked simulations using reconciliation with a combined peer-to-peer and authoritative network architecture, comprising obtaining at least one input associated with an authoritative simulation state from a first client device of a plurality of client devices, the first client device executing a first simulation instance, associating a delayed processing penalty with the first client device, the delayed processing penalty providing a minimum acceptable duration that elapses between an initial instance associated with the at least one input by the first client device and a subsequent instance when generating the authoritative simulation state based on the at least one input of the first client device, routing simulation information to the plurality of client devices, the simulation information associated with the authoritative simulation state, and updating one or more simulation instances of the first client device with the simulation

  • Patent number: 12012748
Abstract: A bracket assembly for connecting the head track (282) of a partition wall (280) to an overhead structural component (298) of the building has a shaft (102) connected at right angles to a base plate (106), which in turn is connectable to the head track (282) so that the shaft extends substantially vertically upwards. A pair of upwardly extending wings (118) and an apertured intermediate portion (116) allowing the bracket to be slidingly disposed about the shaft. The wings (118) are connectable to arm portions (288), which in turn are connectable to linking flanges (292), connectable to the overhead structure 298. Springs (130, 132) bias the bracket towards a neutral position. The bracket (110) is retained on the shaft by an upper stop (108) and the base plate 106. Apertured stabilising means (122,124) disposed about the bracket (110) form a collar that guides and stabilises the bracket (110) as it slides relative to the shaft (102) during seismic activities.

  • Publication number: 20240195616
Abstract: An elliptic curve random number generator avoids escrow keys by choosing a point Q on the elliptic curve as verifiably random. An arbitrary string is chosen and a hash of that string computed. The hash is then converted to a field element of the desired field, the field element regarded as the x-coordinate of a point Q on the elliptic curve and the x-coordinate is tested for validity on the desired elliptic curve. If valid, the x-coordinate is decompressed to the point Q, wherein the choice of which is the two points is also derived from the hash value. Intentional use of escrow keys can provide for back up functionality. The relationship between P and Q is used as an escrow key and stored by for a security domain. The administrator logs the output of the generator to reconstruct the random number with the escrow key.

  • Patent number: 11813776
Abstract: A method for removing substrate material from a part produced by a 3-D printer. The machine includes a housing having a working chamber defined therein. A spray header is disposed along at least a portion of the perimeter of the working chamber. A pump is configured and arranged to convey a fluid at varying pressures through the spray header. The fluid contacts the part and then flows to the bottom of the working chamber to a fluid outlet.

  • Publication number: 20230305179
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for locating underground utility equipment. In an exemplary embodiment, the local utility power grid frequency is detected using a bandwidth filter centered around the nominal or expected frequency, for example, 60 Hz in the US, or 50 Hz in Europe. From the actual utility power grid frequency detected, the frequency of one or more harmonics of the detected power grid frequency are calculated, and then the calculated value(s) may be used to tune one or more bandwidth filters, or to further refine a power grid frequency offset enabling detection of a larger range of frequencies. Using the offset, any detected power grid frequencies and desired harmonics may be used by a utility locator or system to increase detection and location accuracy by adjusting for any power grid frequency fluctuations.

  • Publication number: 20230243809
Abstract: Separation of the cellular components of whole blood, or other biological fluid, from plasma or serum can be achieved for assay analysis. A device for facilitating separation can include, for example, a capillary tube that accurately draws target blood volume, a pad that chemically interacts with red-blood cells, such that the red blood cells become chemically and/or physically trapped within pad material, a mechanism for plasma recovery from the pad upon diffusion or active mixing, and a dropper tip that facilitates dispensing the mixture onto a test device. The treatment of the cellular components can be performed prior to contact with a buffer solution, so release of the cellular components into the buffer solution is reduced or prevented. Additional filtration can be provided to filter any remaining cellular components in the mixture.
