  • Patent number: 11235643
Abstract: An air vent control system comprises a directional air flow component mounted on a first axis within a first housing, and a second housing defining an inner space in which the first housing is mounted. A first motor moves the directional air flow component to an angular position within the first housing, and a second motor pivots the first housing contained within the second housing. A front and rear opening allows air flow in a direction from the rear opening to the front opening. A controller sets the angular position of the directional air flow component on the first axis, and the angular position of the first housing on the second axis. The respective positions of the directional air flow component relative to the first housing and the first housing relative to the second housing selectively regulate the direction of airflow discharged.

  • Patent number: 11133661
Abstract: Traffic signals can become skewed due to car crashes, severe winds, vandalism, earthquakes and other man-made or natural phenomena. Severe skewing is termed a “conflict.” An advantageous position detection mechanism is configured to mount inside a traffic light signal head. If signal head movement is outside of predefined limits, an electrical signal is generated indicating a conflict, i.e. traffic signal skewing so severe that drivers and pedestrians are endangered. Normal operation of the intersection is terminated and automatic communications to an appropriate command and control facility are made. For example, a conflict may cause the traffic signal to generate a flashing red light until the traffic signal is repaired.

  • Patent number: 11115224
Abstract: A system provides credential management for computer systems and services within a customer data center by acting as an intermediary to an authentication service of a computing resource service provider. In an embodiment, an application server hosts an agent that is registered as a trusted provider of credentials. In an embodiment, the agent is cryptographically linked to the application server using a digital certificate. In an embodiment, the agent uses the digital certificate to authenticate with a credential server, and the credential server provides short-term credentials that may be used to access services of the computing resource service provider. In an embodiment, the short-term credentials are transmitted from the credential server to the agent, and the agent provides the credentials to one or more applications running on the application server. In an embodiment, the credentials allow the applications to access the services of the computing resource service provider.

  • Patent number: 11113305
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for modeling a non-relational database as a normalized relational database. In one embodiment, the system identifies a column having a first type in a column-oriented, non-relational database; determines whether the column-oriented, non-relational database includes at least one column having a second type and identifies the one or more columns having the second type; virtually divides the column-oriented, non-relational database based on column type; and generates a normalized, relational model based on the virtual division of the column-oriented, non-relational database, the normalized, relational model including catalog information representing a parent table including the column having the first type and, when the column-oriented, non-relational database includes at least one column having the second type, catalogue information representing a child table, the parent table and child table both represented as relational tables.
