  • Publication number: 20230275978
Abstract: According to some embodiments, a system to facilitate hierarchical data exchange may include an aggregation platform data store containing electronic records. A data aggregation platform may collect, from a plurality of data source devices, information associated with a plurality of data sources and store the collected information into the aggregation platform data store. The data aggregation platform may also receive a data request from a data consumer device, and, responsive to the received data request, determine a precision tier associated with the data request. The data aggregation platform may then automatically calculate a resource value for the data request based on the precision tier. It may then be arranged for information from the aggregation platform data store to be modified and transmitted to the data consumer device.

  • Patent number: 11682277
Abstract: A security system can use video analytics and/or other input parameters to identify a theft event. Optionally, the security system can take remedial action in response. For example, the security system can use video analytics to determine that a person has reached into a shelf multiple times at a rate above a threshold, which can indicate that a thief is quickly removing items from the shelf. The security system can also use video analytics to determine that a person has reached into a shelf via a sweeping action, which can indicate that a thief is gathering and removing a large quantity of items from the shelf in one motion. In response, the security system can alert security personnel, cause a speaker to output an audible message in the target area, flag portions of the video relating to the theft event, activate or ready other sensors or systems, and/or the like.

  • Patent number: 11649804
Abstract: A system and method are provided for controlling a wind turbine of a wind farm. Accordingly, a controller implements a first model to determine a modeled performance parameter for the first wind turbine. The modeled performance parameter is based, at least in part, on an operation of a designated grouping of wind turbines of the plurality of wind turbines, which is exclusive of the first wind turbine. The controller then determines a performance parameter differential for the first wind turbine at multiple sampling intervals. The performance parameter differential is indicative of a difference between the modeled performance parameter and a monitored performance parameter for the first wind turbine. A second model is implemented to determine a predicted performance parameter of the first wind turbine at each of a plurality of setpoint combinations based, at least in part, on the performance parameter differential the first wind turbine.

  • Patent number: 11626923
Abstract: A Non-Geostationary Satellite Orbit (NGSO) satellite system is described that implements one or more user route tables and a plurality of pre-calculated backbone route tables at its satellites. The user route tables track user connectivity to the satellites, and each of the backbone route tables defines a snapshot of a time-varying backbone topology seen by a particular satellite. During operation, a satellite selects different backbone route tables as the topology changes over time, and receives updates to the user route tables when connectivity changes occur between the users and the satellites. The decoupling of the user route tables from the backbone route tables at the satellite reduces the computational burden on the NGSO system, as the backbone route tables are calculated in advance and the NGSO system is subsequently tasked with a computationally lower burden of performing real-time updates to the user route tables.

  • Patent number: 11591442
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, compositions, reagents, systems, and kits to prepare materials with viscoelastic properties that respond to irradiation with light. Various embodiments show that bio-inspired histidine:transition metal ion complexes allow precise and tunable control over the viscoelastic properties of polymer networks containing these types of crosslinks pre and post-irradiation. These materials have the potential to aid biomedical materials scientists in the development of materials with specific stress-relaxing or energy-dissipating properties.

  • Publication number: 20230034766
Abstract: A system and method are provided for operating a wind farm. Accordingly, a wind direction affecting the wind farm is determined. Based on the wind direction, a controller identifies a turbine cluster, which is a subset of a plurality of wind turbines of the wind farm. The subset includes at least an upwind turbine and a downwind turbine that is affected by a wake emanating from the upwind turbine. With the turbine cluster identified for the given wind direction, the controller then determines a difference between a freestream maximal cluster power output and a wake-affected cluster power output for the turbine cluster. The controller then determines a mitigation setpoint combination for the subset of wind turbines. The mitigation setpoint combination is configured to establish a mitigated cluster power output.
